Pt.13 jakes date 1/4

As we are driving Jake and I both ask each other questions.

"So if I do take you out again what is your favourite flower?" He asks

"Oh now that's a tough one I can pick just one but I want to say my top three are lilies, coral charm peonies and red roses"

"Well thank you and I hope I get the chance to get those for you" he says

We continue talking about eachothers interests and likes dislikes and things like

We arrive at a fancy restaurant and jake gets out runs around the car and opens my door for me

"After you" he smiles

"Why thank you" I get out and stand waiting while he tells the driver where to park

We go into the restaurant and to the person who sets everyone down at their tables

"Do you have a reservation?"

"Yes under Jake quince"

"Ok right this way"

We sat at our table and waited for our waiter

"So Jake who were you dating before you got dumped" I asked maybe a little to bluntly

"Wow ah straight to the point" we both chuckle "but uh I was dating Brianna, do you know her?"

"Yes we've talked from time to time"

"Why'd you breakup"

"Uh we didn't work well and she didn't like me"

"Oh sorry" I give a weak smile then look at my menu

"It's fine what do you think you will get?" Jake asks putting his menu down

"The lobster, what about you?" I ask doing the same as him putting my menu down

"Steak probably" he stares at me again with those eyes

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Hmm liek what?" He almost snaps out of a trance

"Your looking at me like your stuck in a trance" I say

"I'm admiring you" he says

The waitress comes out we order our food

"So y/n what's up with you and Benny?" He asks smirking a little

"What do you mean?" I ask confused

"Well everyone thinks your dating"

"We aren't, but we are sort of friends since I've known him basically since kindergarten" I say

"Oh makes sense I mean you are best friends with Kacy right"

"Mhm"

"Ok, I'm just glad there's nothing between you two it helps me avoid a black eye or something" I laugh at his joke

"I love your laugh" I smile and almost blush at his comment

"So can I ask why did you want to go on a date with me?" I ask

" well to be honest y/n I have had a crush on you for years"

"Really I never knew"

"Yeah well I tried to make it obvious but it came off a little bit more douchbag rather than nice crush" we both laugh

"When did you start having a crush on me?" I ask intrigued about this topic

"Well I do remember the exact day, it was February 19 we were in 4th grade"

"Ugh I hated my 4th grade look" I joke and he chuckles

"Anyways we were at lunch and you came over to play baseball with our team"

"Phillips didn't want to let you but you persisted, and you were stubborn I liked that about you"

"He eventually let you play and you pitched, and you were a better pitcher than me you even had your own pitch 'the jet' you pitched to your brother and got him to strike out"

After I asked if I could pitch you agreed. So I pitched to you, I didn't have any hopes though I honestly thought you would be shit at batting, but you hit a homer on my first pitch"

"That's when I first liked you and the crush kind of just evolved since then. Oh god that sounds so dumb"

"No it's not that dumb" I smile

"That was actually a really sweet story" he smiles

"Hey here is your lobster and you steak sorry for the wait" the waitress
Hands both of us our meals and we start to eat

"How's your lobster?" Jake asks after taking a bite of his steak

"Good how is your steak"

"Great" he sighs

"What?" I look at him confused

"Do you like this dat or are you waiting for it to end? Would you even go on a second date with me or is it joust because you were forced to go?" I look at Jake shocked

"U-u-u-uh jake I don't know what to say to that"
"Yes I do like this date you have been amazingly nice to me and treated me well, and I think I would definitely go on a second date with you" i sigh after

"At first I thought this was going to be bad, I didn't want to go on a date with you one because Phillips was forcing me to go and two because you actually have been kind of douchy to me. But when you came with those flowers and you took me out to this amazing restaurant I felt differently, like it was a set up"

We both finish eating and Jake pays the bill

I caught a glance at the bill and it was almost $70 bucks

*did he just spend that much money on me?*

"Okay I have another place to take you and it's a little more fun" he says as we walk to the car

"You know where to go" Jake says leaning forwards in the car towards the driver He nods and starts driving

"So will you tell me where we are going?" I ask hoping he'd say yes

"Nope it's a surprise but we'll be there in about five minutes" i smile and look out the window for the rest of the drive

"The carnival?" I look back at Jake and he has a grin from ear to ear plastered on his face

"I know it's your dream date place so I thought why not make that dream a reality" he gets out of the car opens my door and tells the driver where to park

We walk to the carnival ticket booth to buy our tickets

"How many?"

"Two tickets please"

"K that'll be $2.50"

He hands the man $2.50 and the guys hands him back two tickets

"Thank you have a nice night" I saw walking away

Jake hands me my ticket and we continue on our way

I put the ticket in my purse as a little memory keepsake

We walk into the carnival looking at all the rides, the roller coasters, Ferris wheel, cotton candy stands. I just love the carnival

Jake looks at me and asks"Where should we got first my love?"
