We all decided to go see where the ball landed

I walked a little behind since I just ran and benny joins me

"I guess you really did need to come to the sandlot today" he says with a smirk

"Yes I did Benny boy" I smirk

He puts his arm around my shoulder and I lean my head on his

"No no!" I hear who sounds like ham yelling

Benny takes his arm of and we jog to see why ham was so upset

"Someone ran over the baseball!" Ham complains as he sees us

"Ugh now we can't play no more!" Benny complains as well

"On the bright side we saw a ultimate homer" smalls tries to lighten the mood but the boys were having none of it

"Yeah yeah but now we can't play!"

"Unless someone has 99c laying around"

"Sorry Timmy"

"I got a few baseballs at home I'll just go grab one it's fine guys" I inform them

"We'll go get one!" They all yell in unison

*they always creepy me out when they do that*

I jog home and go to my room I find one of my baseballs grab it then run back to the sandlot

"Got it!" I yell as I enter the sandlot holding the baseball

"Finally my clothes were going out of style!" Squints had his hands on his hips

"They already are out of style squints" I chuckle

I give the ball to Kenny and go sit in the dugout

"So y/n"

"Ah Jesus-smalls" I jumped a little

"Haha, anyways how's it going with you and your boyfriend?" He smirks

"He's not my boyfriend smalls"

"Okay sure y/n but changing the subject how are you feeling about being 16 tomorrow?"

"Oh you don't even know how excited I am me and ka-..." I stop talking realizing

"You and kacy? What?" He starts looking confused

"Nothing it's just me and kacy always had eachothers sweet sixteen planned and what we were going to do but now it all seems like that won't happen tomorrow" I look down at my feet feeling a pit in my chest

"Why?" He had those puppy eyes the ones that show his innocence you know?

"Nothing just something happened between us that's all" I try to shrug off the topic but smalls doesn't get the hint

"What happened? Did you two fight?" He still had that look in his eyes

"Yeah sort of she just started dating someone she shouldn't and we got into a fight over it but don't worry it's ok we needed a fight I guess" I hoped he had gotten the hint to let go of the topic but sadly he didn't

"Who is she dating? Jordan?" I laugh at that question

"No smalls but don't worry about it really just leave it I don't really want to talk about it right now" I felt a bit bad for saying it like that because smalls looked sad

"Oh.. ok" he turns back to the game and so do I

We all continue playing for a few hours rotating batters and after around the third hour the sun starts to set
