As Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails turned to face the unexpected interruption, they found themselves confronted by an adult Cream holding a Wispon

The four| CREAM!

Cream| Mr. Sonic, Mr Knuckles, Tails, and, Ms Amy? You guys are back?

Amy| Cream, what's going on? Why are you holding a Wispon?

Cream| I'm sorry, Ms. Amy, but things have changed since you guys disappeared ten years ago then Eggman took over.

Cream's revelation sent a shiver down Sonic's spine as he tried to process the shocking news.

Sonic| Eggman took over? But how?

Knuckles| And why are you holding a weapon, Cream? What happened while we were gone?

Cream| It's not safe here follow me

As Cream led Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails through the war-torn streets of their once-peaceful city, they couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief and urgency. Buildings lay in ruins, and the air was thick with the stench of smoke and fear.

Sonic| Cream, what happened to the city? It's like a warzone!

Cream| After you guys disappeared, Eggman launched a full-scale invasion. He took control of the government and declared martial law. Those who resisted were either imprisoned or worse.

Amy| But why didn't anyone stop him? Where were the others? team dark? I know Shadow wouldn't let this happen

Cream's expression darkened as she recounted the events that unfolded in their absence.

Cream| Shadow tried to resist, but he was captured and brainwashed by Eggman. Team Dark was scattered, and Rouge... I'm sorry, Mr Knuckles, but Rouge didn't make it. She sacrificed herself to buy us time to escape.

Knuckles' heart sank at the news of Rouge's fate, his mind reeling with grief and anger.

Knuckles| No... Rouge... She can't be gone... we were supposed to live together...

Sonic| This is all my fault. If we hadn't disappeared, none of this would have happened.

Knuckles| (angrily) Yeah it is

Amy| Knuckles calm down, and Sonic It's not just your fault. We're all to blame for not being here to stop Eggman.

Tails| Cream where are you living now, base of operations?

Cream| We've established a resistance base in the outskirts of the city. It's not much, but it's safer than staying in the heart of Eggman's territory.

Cream led Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails to a hidden underground bunker that served as their makeshift base of operations. As they descended into the depths of the bunker, they were greeted by the sight of familiar faces huddled together, their expressions weary yet determined.

Cream| This is where we've been hiding out since Eggman's forces took over. It's not much, but it's safe for now.

Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails glanced around the dimly lit bunker, taking in the sight of their friends and allies who had been fighting against Eggman's tyranny in their absence.

Sonic| Cream, who else is here with you?

Cream| There's Espio, Vector, and Charmy from Team Chaotix, along with some other survivors who've been helping us resist Eggman's rule.
