Chapter 30: let's a go

Girlfriend's POV:

damn it.... why can't we just be out and stay out from this conflict?

Fleetway really seems to like making my Boyfriend's life a living hell just because i chose him. 

the guy who looked like Mario turned around, and he spoke ''looking for someone? don't-a-worry.... i'm not gonna kill you... YET!'' before brandishing his knife.

''who... who are you...'' i asked.

''it's-a-me... M'' the Mario impostor spoke. M? that's it?

damn it.... i tried to use my demon powers to get us out, but M had come prepared.

we were now in his realm, something i knew after he said ''oh-a-really? that's a strange. you thought escape would be easy? this is my domain now''

then he turned to Boyfriend.

''i've heard of you before from Fleetway, Boyfriend'' M spoke to him.

''how-a-bout we make a deal? if we do three, i let you live.'' M spoke in a sinister, wicked smile.

''....alright. let's fucking do this...'' Boyfriend said. he grabbed the microphone. 

i just stared at the two as they began, and all i did was say...

''WHAT?!''

Boyfriend's POV:

i thought i would be out of the woods, but i guess i was dead fucking wrong, because M then chuckled. 

then his red eyes looked right onto me, and he spoke ''oh, this is-a-so much-a-fun! how's about we kick things UP A NOTCH?'' 

then he grabbed me and Girlfriend's collars [in Girlfriend's case, her shirt collar, and in my case, my jacket collar] and yeeted us all the way up.

before long, i knew he was standing there, clicking his finger, ready for another deadly round.

if it's a fight he wants, he's gonna get one.

that was a hard duel, which even included a fucking skeleton turtle playing trumpet or something like that. i still thought it was a weird subversion when his Significant other [or at least i think that horror Peach was M's significant other] and the dinosaur busted down after he tripped and fell in the lava. but then he knocked them off the platforms, so then he could conclude our battle.

right when i thought that was the end....

he then started morphing. 

it seemed strange...

but how did he even do such a thing, and why was it possible?

next thing i knew, he was taller, bigger, a wide brick shithouse, his cap now had eyes, and to top it all off, he had as many arms as a Machamp.

''it's interesting... you think the deal was so simple... Fleetway would like an audience with her, and i will do anything to make that happen, no matter what risk i must take'' M boomed.

we had a showdown on our hands.

but while i fought, the worst had happened....

Come now, take the step.

Don't look back, there's nothing left.

For you, beyond the veil.

You tried and yet you failed to save her.

Claws upon your heart.

Rip and tear your soul apart.

You lost the game, it's all the same,

When you stand before a god!

those words echoed and haunted me. i couldn't save Girlfriend....

i'm sorry, babe.... i really am...

i thought i had died.

but M had collapsed, back in his normal form, and Pico stood near him.

''tell your mom i saved y-'' Pico joked, but then i spoke frantically ''PICO! Girlfriend's hurt! we have to do something! i don't know if she's dead or unconscious, but-''

''don't worry dude, we'll find a way...

i hope...'' he said.

tears swelled across me, and i succumbed, crying.

it's all over, isn't it?

Girlfriend.... please... don't go...

come back to me. to us.

to everyone.....

i came back for you once. please do the same...

[don't worry, the book isn't coming to an end yet. it's gonna keep going for a few more chapters because we have to shove in a happy ending. so stay tuned. there were gonna be more chapters, but i guess i knew i would eventually grow tired of writing this damn book, so i guess 33 will be enough for it. so how was the story so far? let me know in the comments on what your opinion is. and please, please act like civil, normal, calm people]
