Chapter 31: forged in fire

Boyfriend's POV:

we ran away fast we can, and i held Girlfriend in my arms, not wanting to let her go.

i had to save her. Pico held his gun at the back just in case something was close.

we got back home, and i knocked on her parents' door. 

''hello? daughter, is that you-'' Mommy Mearest answered the door, only to be shocked when she saw Girlfriend in my arms.

''Ms. Mearest, please help.... she's.... i don't know what happened to her. all i know was she was attacked'' i explained everything she needed to know.

''oh shit.... i'll see what i can do.'' she was worried, and picked her up, and walked inside, and i even overheard her saying '' Dearest, something's wrong!''

then i saw Cassandra near the door.

''what happened?'' she seemed worried as well.

''..... she's dead. or at least, i think she is. one of Fleetway's dudes attacked her.'' i said, lips quivering.

''......fuck..... we're gonna have to stop him'' Cassandra said, angry with Fleetway. i saw her eyes go red and skin turn purple, but i placed my hand on her shoulder.

''no, leave it to me'' i told her. ''this is between me and him.''

then i walked off. i made it to the school.

and there he was, yelling at M.

''ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!'' he yelled. ''I TOLD YOU NOT TO KILL HER!!!''

''bruh, i wanted to. besides, what's the harm? she's not going to change her mind, accept that'' M said.

then Fleetway zapped him.

then he turned to see me.

''Fleet.'' i growled. i threw a hard punch, but he grabbed my fist.

''well, i'd love to stay and chat, but i gotta run'' Fleetway spoke before running. 

like a coward.

but as i ran, i could have sworn someone grabbed me.

i turned, and it was him.

Tabi. he had his knife there, ready to end me.

''finally..... you have one last chance, Boyfriend!'' he said. ''you can leave her, join the football team, ETC. or you can fuck it all over and just die'' 

i knew what he wanted. i didn't want to hurt him. but i didn't want to.

''you know what? fuck the football team. why can't you let me choose things for myself?! YOU THINK PEOPLE DECIDE THINGS FOR YOU?!'' i yelled.

''.........''Tabi fell silent after i held that massive yell.

i then calmed down, only for Tabi to say ''one more...''

''...k. after that, this is between me and Fleetway'' i said.

but Tabi didn't end at just one.

then he lunged at me, knife in hand.

''SHUT UP!!!'' Tabi yelled.

but.... something miraculous happened...

i thought i had died, but Girlfriend had saved me...

wait, Girlfriend?!

she's alive?!

......

''please... stop this!'' she spoke in her demon form.

Tabi then said ''it's too late-''

''please... please.... i'm sorry... i'll explain everything later. but please...'' Girlfriend said.

Tabi was about to strike...

but instead, she hugged him.

''i'm sorry....'' she said, tears for eyes.

Tabi, shocked, surprised, and yet.... calm, hugged back, tears swelled as well.

''....i can't do this anymore... i'm sorry two...''

i then hugged them both.

after a few minutes, Tabi parted ways with us, hoping to make up for his reckless actions toward us. 

''so how did you... get here?'' i asked Girlfriend.

''i don't know... maybe i just avoided M's attack enough to live?'' Girlfriend told me.

''makes sense. but how did you parents wake you up?'' i asked.

''let's just say they had to check my pulse and what not, and get a megaphone to wake me up. you know, i'm thankful for that'' she said.

you know, i feel happy.

she patched things up with her EX-boyfriend, and she's alive and well.

only Fleetway is left to deal with.
