It had been two weeks since you had been discharged from the hospital. You could walk short distances on your own with the help of crutches, you had three more weeks before you could finally kiss those crutches goodbye.

You had found out a lot about what had happened in the last four years from your family although you did believe that there were more things to unravel, you were content with the information you learned now. You remembered small things like Light's 16th birthday, Sayu winning an art competition about two years ago, your 22nd birthday although it was vague. That's all you could actually remember for now but that's okay.

Your guess was correct, you were in fact a detective but your father made you take a leave from your work so that you could recover. Naturally your work gave you 6 months to recover, now that was a shock but it's alright. Apparently you had worked with the world's greatest detective 𝘓. Your first ever case was the LABB case that you worked in anonymously and secretly when you got your first laptop. L saw potential in you and you continued to work on a few cases with him along side your own cases appointed to you by your agency. You don't remember about working with L but learning about this made you feel self accomplished and proud. After all you looked up to L and you had worked with him too? Amazing.

Recently however a new killer was gaining fame, given the name '𝘬𝘪𝘳𝘢' by people who actually supported this killer. This kira person only killed criminals and that's probably why he became so popular among ordinary people, but then again killing 𝘪𝘴 killing. It was natural being a detective, working in the law field, you could see where the problem lied which a lot of people unfortunately couldn't see.

You were now sitting with your mother and Sayu in the living room and watching TV together, Light was upstairs in his room studying and your father was at work. Sayu was intently watching her favorite idol 𝘏𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘬𝘪 𝘙𝘺𝘶𝘨𝘢 sing in the tv when suddenly the program came to an abrupt halt causing Sayu to whine which caused you and your mother to turn to look at the tv. An international broadcast had started.

A conventionally handsome young man with long hair appeared on the screen with a name tag on his desk '𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘓 𝘛𝘢𝘺𝘭𝘰𝘳'.

He claimed to be L, but for some reason you didn't feel like this man was 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓. Anyhow, he went on to talk about how he's going to catch Kira and honestly it started getting boring. This did not feel like L at all, you knew for a fact L was a man who likes to prove himself by his actions rather than his words thanks to you being a devoted L follower since you were young. Now however you were rethinking your admiration towards L.

Suddenly the man clenched his chest before collapsing, he was unmoving. Kira killed him. You watched in shock, this happened so quickly. You watched as the now deceased man was dragged out of the screen by two men presumably security guards or police officers. Soon enough the screen shifted to a bright plain white background with a romanized letter 'L' in the middle.

"I am the real 𝘓. Kira if you killed the man Lind L Taylor on TV, then you have killed a convicted criminal who was on a death row".
A distorted voice spoke out from the tv, probably a voice changed.
"Try and kill me Kira! Kill me! Go on!"
You froze on your spot as there was a small silence, your mind shifting to all the negative thoughts however they didn't last long as L spoke again.

"I couldn't believe it so I had to see for myself, it seems Kira you can kill with a face and a name".

𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘓.

Unknowingly you smiled as the exchange went on in the tv, you were definitely in L's side. You wondered if he would try to recruit you since you had already worked on a few cases with him.
