The entire taskforce was silent, only sounds of keyboards being clicked could be heard.

From the corner of your eyes, you noticed your younger brother staring at you as if he was trying to read through you. You shrugged it off, not really paying much attention to him.

After some while, you heard faint footsteps coming towards you.

As the footsteps stopped in front of you, you didn't bother to look up at the person.

"Nee-chan.."

"Yes?" You replied to your hopeless brother without moving your gaze from your computer screen.

Light suddenly placed his hand in front of your computer screen, preventing you from working further which only forced you to finally look up at your desperate brother.

"Light, you are distracting me from my profession" you said to Light in a stern mannerism.

"... Nee-chan, I want to talk with you"

"Not now" you waved your hand at your brother, dismissing him but he still seemed to stand his ground.

"Nee-chan please"

"Light, can't you see that I'm wor-"

"NEE-CHAN IS YOUR WORK MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR OWN BROTHER!?" Light suddenly yelled out, disrupting the initial quiet work environment.

You just looked at Light stunned for a moment, this was shocking to you. Never had he once raised his voice like that, especially at you.

"Light, I would like it if you kept your voice down" L interrupted calmly.

"Shut up Ryuza-" Light almost started a fight with L when you interrupted by holding Light's arm.

"I apologize, please excuse us" you bowed at everyone as an apology as you dragged Light out of the main room.

You dragged Light to the hallway. You crossed your arms and gave him a look to 'explain' himself.

Light immediately bowed 90° as he spoke.

"I'm sorry Nee-chan, I know I shouldn't have raised my voice at you... But... You weren't just.. Listening!"

You remained silent as you gestured for him to continue.

"...Nee-chan, why are you so...distant with me..?" Light asked in a softer tone.

"I am not.."

"You are..! Nee-chan did I do something wrong? I'll apologize!"

You just remained silent, Light did do something wrong. Becoming Kira.

"....when did our relationship become so tainted?" Your brother asked you genuinely as he looked at your eyes.

"It's not like that Light.." You said softly as you pat his shoulders to comfort him.

".... Nee-chan.. do you also perhaps believe that I'm Kira?"

You had to constantly remind yourself that for some reason, Light has no memories of being Kira.

"Light, let's go back" you said as you gently pat his back and turned on your heels.

Light didn't say anything, he just followed. But you could tell that Light was suspicious of a lot of things.
