It had been a few days since L had openly challenged Kira on live television. You tried following the news but the information available to the public was limited. It's understandable, this is a rather bizarre case after all, a killer who only needs a face and a name to kill? Yeah.

From the past few weeks you have noticed that Light was acting rather strange. He would mostly keep to himself, being his older sister you could instantly tell when something was wrong with Light although most of the times you ignored it because he's a growing teenager, it would only be natural if he was hiding 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.

However from the past few days you had been feeling like you were being watched, anytime you went outside or even inside. You decided to brush it off since no one at home really seemed to be feeling the same as you, Light however seemed a little off. You guessed Light felt the sensation of being watched as well. Your guess was that your house is probably wire tapped, why though is the question. Knowing that Light was just as sharp as you are, you knew you could talk to Light about it, however if your prediction about the house being wiretapped is true then you would have to talk to Light outside the house as to not alarm whoever is watching.

Soichiro Yagami stood next to a crouched man with long messy hair and prominent eye bags, both of their eyes on the screen before them that showed Yagami's household. There were multiple screens each recording a specific angle in each division of the house.

The crouched man watched the screen intently with an unreadable expression. Yagami tried to pinpoint exactly who 𝘓 was examining, he felt a little uncomfortable everytime his eldest daughter appeared on any of the screens on L's direct viewpoint, they were quite close in age after all.

"It appears that everyone of the Yagami family is present in the house, correct?" L spoke up in his monotone voice.
"Yes.."
"Hmm.."
L put his thumb on his lips as he started analysing a specific Yagami member, Light Yagami. Although his eyes would occasionally switch towards (Y/n) Yagami, he was good at hiding it. They were focusing on Light and (Y/n) now since the other members of the family had gone to sleep.

Light seemed to be studying religiously although L couldn't help but notice Light's hand movements were a little off but he shrugged it off. Soon enough Light pulled out an adult magazine after his study session.

"Light..."
Soichiro Yagami watched in disbelief.
"It's totally normal for a 17 year old, I did some questionable things at 17 myself.."
L replied nonchalantly in his usual monotone voice.

Soon their eyes shifted to the other screen showing (Y/n). She was on her bed, browsing her laptop. They could see exactly what she was browsing in her laptop. She was looking up various cases that she had worked on, presumably to help her regain her memories.

"Your eldest daughter lost her memories in an accident, am I correct?"
L asked Soichiro next to him while his eyes were still fixated on the screen.
"...yes 𝘙𝘺𝘶𝘻𝘢𝘬𝘪, that is correct.."
"I see".
Suddenly they heard light sobs from the screen. (Y/n) was crying as lightly as possible as to not wake anyone up from their slumber. It was evident she was frustrated by the fact that she couldn't remember much no matter how much she tried. It was a shocking and heart wrenching moment for Soichiro Yagami, his eldest daughter would always act happy and bubbly near her family but she was crying herself to sleep alone?
Soichiro Yagami felt like he had failed his daughter and L seemed to notice that.

" I believe your daughter cares deeply for her family...she's a strong girl and I know that you know that better than me chief Yagami" L said in his usual monotone voice expect this time, his voice held some sort of warmth that was never present from the time they had met, to Yagami's surprise L flashed him a soft smile which almost seemed eerie because he never saw L smile. He returned the smile. Nevertheless he was grateful, maybe L isn't so bad after all.

You came outside at your neighborhood park with Light for a change of mind. You both had a comfortable silence before Light broke it.
"You felt that too didn't you nee-chan?"
"..yeah..I wonder why"
After a little hesitation, Light speaks up again.
"I..I think our house is wiretapped.."
"And why would that be?" You asked with an unreadable expression.
"Probably something related to dad's work"
"Hmm.. I suppose..although I do hope there's nothing in the bathrooms"
"Yeah.....nee-chan?"
You looked up at Light, allowing him to continue.

Nee-chan is just as smart as me if not more, I'm sure she'll understand my purpose of being 𝘒𝘪𝘳𝘢 however I won't tell her right away. There's no doubt she's like dad, she's a woman of law after all but I know for a fact she would never throw her dear brother under the bus. Still I cannot say anything or even hint about being Kira myself without knowing her thoughts on Kira.

"Nee-chan what do you think of 'Kira'?"
"Ah Kira..why do you ask?"
"Just wanted your opinion.." I say as I casually sip on my coffee and await an answer from her. She seems to think for a while with that same unreadable expression, it was kinda getting annoying honestly. I hated how I couldn't read my own sister's mind.
"I can see how some people may support the acts of 'kira'...however what Kira is doing is wrong" she said and sharply glared at me as if she already 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 that I'm Kira. Did she?
"I understand your viewpoint" I said calmly while trying to keep my composure. It's alright if you don't support me nee-chan, I'll still always be by your side unless you try to get in my way.
