Light Yagami was arrested as the notorious mass murderer 𝘒𝘪𝘳𝘢. He was initially given the death penalty but L changed it to life imprisonment just like he said he would, 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶.

Light Yagami, Kira, resided in a prison cell with high security. He suffered every single day. He couldn't be left alone with other criminals as they tried to kill him because he too was killing fellow criminals in the name of justice.

Light had changed. He felt guilty for both picking up the notebook and also not being able to become the god of the new world.

Light eventually killed himself in his own cell by repeatedly banging his head against the wall.

That's how Kira died.

Misa Amane was devastated at the loss of her lover. She wandered the streets aimlessly and tried breaking into the prison cell countless times in hopes of meeting her lover just once yet every single time she failed.

She was losing hope.

Her world collapsed as she got the news that her lover had died.

Misa too had to go to him, at least now when she goes to him, no one would stop her. In the afterlife.

Soichiro Yagami was angry and disappointed in himself. He arrested his own son, but that's not why he was upset. He couldn't believe he raised a mass murderer, where could he have gone wrong as a father?

Although he was repeatedly told it was not his fault. He didn't believe any of it.

Soon after Light was put into the prison cell, Soichiro Yagami handed over his batch to his superior. He apologized to L for all the inconveniences.

He was looking after his wife and two daughters.

His wife was miserable. She refused to believe her own son is Kira. However she had to eventually accept it.

The taskforce was still welcome to work under L and so a few members stayed back.

You and L have been together ever since. Everyone knew already anyway.

Your father had decided to hand you over to L. He knew L would keep you loved, happy and protected.

You were laying on the soft mattress with a white duvet on your body. The TV in front of you was showing people talking about Kira.

This is annoying.

For the past few days the only thing on TV is Kira Kira and Kira.

Your attention shifted to your boyfriend as he walked inside the room and sat next to you in his signature crouching pose.

He took the remote and turned the TV off.

"....... " you just looked at him.

"Don't watch those things. Come let's have breakfast" L said as he gently caressed your head.

You nodded and got up to have breakfast.

After breakfast you just sat on the sofa in the rather large living room. This was your permanent home with L in England.

This house was hidden inside a shabby looking shop. Yet somehow the house was like an absolute palace from the inside.

You felt guilty for leaving your grieving family behind in Japan and just moving in with L in England.

You felt like your choices were selfish. Even though everyone in your family was happy for you, you still couldn't help but feel immensely upset. L sensed that of course.

L came over and sat on the couch next to you as you scooted over to him and wrapped your arms around his waist.
He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and pulled you closer.

"Love, I wanted to tell you something"
L said as he looked at you with eyes filled with love and adoration.

"Hmm?"

"Meet me at the rooftop" L said before he got up and left.

You sat up and looked in his direction and decided to go to the rooftop like he asked.

You were scared. What if L wanted to end it all. He hates criminals but you are a criminal's sister. Not just any criminal but a mass murderer.

Your heart was thumping out of your chest as you reached the rooftop.

As you entered the rooftop, your heart skipped a beat at the sight in front of you. There were flower petals making a path for you to walk. This place was neatly decorated with lots of candles just like how you liked it. 

You walked further inside following the petals.

There was a table nicely decorated with flowers and candles. You looked around for signs of L but you couldn't find him anywhere when suddenly-

"Ahm"

You turned around to see L kneeling in front of you with something in his hands.

"Lawliet..."

You watched as he pulled out a beautiful ring.

"Y/n Yagami, I love you dearly and I wish for nothing more but to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" L said with a sweet smile as he looked at you in anticipation.

You heart skipped a beat and tears welled in your eyes. You happily nodded as he put the ring on your ring finger and placed a gentle kiss on your hand.

You sobbed and hugged him tightly.

"I love you so much Lawliet" you said as you hugged him tighter.

"I love you more" L said as he pulled away from the hug and gently pressed his lips against yours.

He kissed you passionately as you melted in the kiss. You kissed him back with just as much passion.

You both pulled away after a good while and just rested your foreheads together.

"Thank you so much Y/n, for accepting me as yours"

"I should thank you hubby"

You both chuckled as you looked at the surrounding atmosphere. The atmosphere was so peace and serene.
