What Lies Ahead Part 3 Ch 6
At General Hospital—Carly, Ava, Willow, and Hayden were in the hallway, wanting answers about their children's condition when Robin, Portia, Lucas, Steve, and Elizabeth approached. "We know you all want answers, and we want them too. We are running tests and talking to a doctor at another hospital about a case like this," Robin said. "What happened to the children that the doctor worked on?" they asked. "They were cured. It's someone we can trust," Robin replied. "Just save our children," Willow begged. "We will try," Portia assured her. "We are going to do rounds on each of the children," Elizabeth said.
Jackie came in and approached Robin. "So Robin, is there a virus going around among children?" she asked. "We don't know what is going on, but I can't comment on patient care," Robin responded.
In Avery's room-Avery was feeling hot and tired as Elizabeth and Ava entered to check on her. "Avery," Elizabeth said. "Elizabeth, what's wrong? Save my daughter!" Ava exclaimed as Robin entered to check on Avery. "Avery isn't responding," Elizabeth announced. "We may need to do surgery," Robin said. "For what? You don't know what's going on with Avery!" Ava argued. "No, we don't, but I promise to do my best to take care of her as a doctor." "You better save my daughter," Ava demanded. "Let's get the ER ready," Robin said, and they headed into the hallway. Emma approached. "What's going on?" she asked. "I don't know. The children are sick, and Avery will need surgery," Robin explained. Carly then arrived. "Avery is going to need surgery?" "Yes," Robin confirmed. Carly, Emma, and Elizabeth left to prepare the surgery room.
Carly was thinking about a secret she had been keeping when Lucas approached her. "Carly, what's wrong?" he asked. "Avery is going to need surgery," she replied. "No, I know you love her like a daughter, too," Lucas said. "No, I love her like a granddaughter," Carly clarified. "What?" Lucas asked. Carly took Lucas's arm, and they moved to another room. "I changed Avery's test results. I didn't want Morgan to be a father so young. She's not Sonny's daughter—she's Morgan's," Carly explained. "Wow, you've kept this secret all these years," Lucas remarked. "Yes! I had to for Morgan. Ava would have trapped him; it was for the best. Sonny gave Avery the best of everything until he was murdered," Carly said. "I understand why you did it," Lucas responded. "Thanks," Carly replied. "Maybe it's time to clear things up," Lucas suggested. "No," Carly said.
