At the General Hospital, Lorenzo and Lila Rae were in the hallway when Lucas and Portia arrived. "How is our daughter?" Lorenzo asked. "Gabriella made it, but it was a hard surgery—the bullet hit her in the head, and she might have brain damage," he added. "How bad?" Lorenzo asked, touching his face. "We don't know yet, but you'll need to be patient with her. Gabriella shouldn't be alone for a while," Lucas replied. "Can we see her?" Skye asked. "Yes, but don't overwhelm her," I wouldn't," Skye said, and they left with Lila Rae.
Elizabeth was in the hallway, feeling overwhelmed and tired with everything happening, when Hayden approached. "Elizabeth, how is our father?" he asked. "He's resting, but it's touch and go," Elizabeth replied. "No, are you alright?" Hayden asked. "No, it's been a long, stressful day," Elizabeth admitted. "You should take it easy. When do you go home?" Hayden inquired. "Soon," Elizabeth answered as Naomi came over. "Mother, why are you here?" Elizabeth asked. "I came to see you. I'm sorry about Violet—I should have been here for you. You should have," Hayden said. Carolyn then approached. "Naomi Dreyfus, it's been a long time," she said. "Yes, it has. Carolyn, you look good," Naomi responded. "If you're here to go after Jeff, I don't care. We're divorced. He's all yours," Carolyn added. "Mother," Elizabeth said.
Gabriella's room-Gabriella was still asleep in bed when Skye, Lorenzo, and Lila Rae entered. Skye approached her daughter and gently touched her hair. "Oh, baby girl, I can't lose you. Remember how hard that pregnancy was on me! We almost lost her then." "Yes, but we didn't. Skye, I'm sorry for what I said," Lorenzo added. "Me too. We both love our girls so much," Skye replied. "Yes, we do," Lorenzo said. He then stepped out of the room and leaned against the wall as Tea approached. "Lorenzo, how is Gabriella? I heard you are finally free," Tea asked. "Yes, I am. Gabriella is okay, but she's got some brain damage from being shot. I should have stopped Kim," Lorenzo said. "You saved Gabriella. Don't blame yourself. I've always saved my baby girl from the moment she was born," Lorenzo added. "Lorenzo, what are you talking about?" Gabriella isn't our biological daughter. It's a long story," Lorenzo explained as AJ listened, shocked by what he heard. "What are you talking about?" AJ asked. "It's a long story. I'll tell you later. I can't keep this secret anymore," Lorenzo replied.
Lila Rae stepped out of the room. "Daddy, why did you leave like that?" she asked. "I thought your mother would want to be alone with you and your sister— that's all," Lorenzo explained. "Oh, I know tonight was overwhelming, but it's all right now," she responded. "Yes, it is."
Gabriella's room-Gabriella woke up as Skye was watching her. "Mother," Gabriella called. "What happened?" she asked. "You were shot at, but you'll be alright," Skye reassured her. Lorenzo and Lila Rae then entered. "Yes, Gabriella, you will be alright. We all will," Lorenzo said.
