Chapter 9: Her Backbone

Upon hearing the door close, Gu Nuan Nuan rolled off the sofa and hurried to the bathroom.

She drank water from the faucet with a cup, trying to fill herself up.

By the time Jiang Chenyu returned, she had already drunk three cups of water and felt bloated.

When they met again, she blushed at the memory of her stomach growling earlier and ran back to the sofa, covering herself with the blanket.

Jiang Chenyu looked at his red hand and thought to himself, "This little girl really put some effort into hitting him."

He placed the sandwich on the coffee table and stood up. "If you're hungry, eat it yourself. I'm going to bed."

Proud Jiang Chenyu unknowingly lowered his head to Gu Nuan Nuan, without even realizing it.

Even when he turned off the lights and went to sleep, he didn't realize that he had bowed his head to Gu Nuan Nuan.

In the early hours of the morning, Gu Nuan Nuan was awakened by the need to urinate from drinking too much water. She made several trips to the bathroom.
