Su Xiaomo hesitated.
Gu Nuannuan didn't push her sister. She reached out to take back the phone.
Su Xiaomo, however, pulled her hand back, instinctively not wanting to give the phone to Gu Nuannuan.
Su Xiaomo asked Gu Nuannuan, "When did you find out I was Jiang Momo?"
"That day in the classroom, I saw your disability and asked you the reason. You mentioned the scar department. I took you to the hospital to see Jiangsu, who was also hospitalized, and secretly took both of your hair samples for a DNA test. I'm sorry, Xiaomo. I started suspecting when I visited your house and saw your childhood photos."
Su Xiaomo recalled that time and realized she hadn't noticed anything at all.
Jiangsu squatted nearby, staring at the lake, scratching his head in frustration. His eyebrows were almost touching as he frowned deeply.
"Su Xiaomo, are you really my aunt?"
Su Xiaomo turned to look at her silly nephew. No wonder she had liked him from the start; they shared the same blood.
"When you were little, you drank green tea, peed in the bottle, and tricked your grandpa into drinking it. In the end, my second brother beat you up so badly your butt was swollen, and you had to sleep on your stomach. You never dared to pee in a bottle again."
Jiangsu: Damn it, hardly anyone knows that embarrassing story.
"It was me who exposed you and got you beaten."
Jiangsu: "Damn it, you betrayed me! I told you to give the bottle to my grandpa."
"That was my dad."
With just one incident, Su Xiaomo confirmed her identity to Jiangsu.
"And in kindergarten, you were so sleepy you didn't want to go to school. You pretended to have a fever by secretly putting the thermometer in warm water. But your mom found out when she touched your forehead and realized you were normal. Your parents handed you over to my second brother."
"And what happened then?" Jiangsu's curiosity was piqued, and so was Gu Nuannuan's. She knew Jiangsu was naughty as a child but didn't know he was this mischievous.
Jiangsu blushed. "Shut up, don't say anymore."
"Tell me, Xiaomo. I want to hear it." Gu Nuannuan and Su Xiaomo sat on a rock, each occupying half.
"In the end, my second brother wrapped him in a blanket and took him to the classroom to sleep. Jiangsu had to get dressed by the maid in front of the whole class. He never pretended to be sick to skip school again."
Gu Nuannuan laughed. "Anything else?"
Su Xiaomo smiled, too. "There are many stories, but... my memory is fuzzy." Her face turned bitter at the end.
Jiangsu squatted nearby, watching the two women sitting together.
"One is my aunt, the other my aunt-in-law. When will I ever rise up?"
Jiangsu had been in shock on the way here. Seeing Su Xiaomo now, he still couldn't believe it.
He had become the nephew of his two good friends!
What a ridiculous situation.
"Xiaomo, my grandpa even wanted you to be my girlfriend."
Su Xiaomo: "Nonsense."
Jiangsu: "My dad said I don't deserve you."
"Your dad has good judgment."
Jiangsu: "My mom likes you a lot."
