He lifted his gaze to meet Gu Nuannuan's eyes. Gu Nuannuan, being sharp, approached the two, pulling her best friend along. "It's time for class. Stop crying, your brother isn't going anywhere."

She dragged Su Xiaomo back to the classroom. Jiangsu followed closely behind.

Jiang Chenyi and Old Master Jiang also got out of the car and approached Su Linyan.

Su Linyan addressed the father and son, "Our family won't force Xiaomo. Jiang Chenyi and Old Master Jiang can rest assured that if she doesn't want to be Jiang Momo, we won't go to the police station to deregister her." They would ensure that Su Xiaomo could continue to exist in this world.

Jiang Chenyi expressed his thanks.

Old Master Jiang wanted to find a time to visit the Su family to express his gratitude, but Su Linyan declined, "Last night, my grandparents learned the truth, and they've been upset these past few days. If possible, it's better not to let Xiaomo go home for a few days. If she goes back, she'll just end up crying again."

"Alright," Jiang Chenyi agreed.

Su Linyan went to work, and the Jiang family father and son left Z University. Mayor Jiang began ordering an investigation into his sister's case files from back then. Jiang Chenyi, on the other hand, took his father directly to the Gao family.

"Who did you say is here?" Chairman Gao was at home and couldn't believe his ears when he heard the visitors' names.

"It's Mr. Jiang and Old Master Jiang."

"Quick, invite them in," Chairman Gao said. Mrs. Gao, upon hearing who had arrived, immediately sent someone to wake their daughter.

When Gao Rouer heard Jiang Chenyi was coming, she quickly changed clothes and put on makeup in a panic. In the living room, the father and son had already arrived, both wearing cold expressions that made the Gao family tread carefully around them.

Jiang Chenyi, despite his youth, held a high position and his glare could intimidate even the older Chairman Gao.

"Chairman Gao, my father told me that my sister died fifteen years ago, and you were the one who found her. Is that true?" Jiang Chenyi's expression was unreadable, as if he were simply asking a normal question, seeking confirmation.

Chairman Gao nodded calmly, "Yes, Momo's death back then was tragic... I couldn't bear to look. It's all in the past now. There's no need to dwell on it. The dead can't come back to life."

Jiang Chenyi's smile was icy, "Where did you find her? How did she die? Why couldn't the Jiang family find her, but you could?"

"Chenyi, you're here." Gao Rouer, dressed up, quickly came down the stairs.

"Rouer, go pour some tea for Mr. Jiang," Chairman Gao instructed his daughter.

Gao Rouer approached and picked up a teacup, ready to pour, but Jiang Chenyi covered the cup. "No need."

"Chenyi, how can you and Uncle Jiang come and not have tea? Or do you prefer coffee? I can make some for you now."

Jiang Chenyi frowned in annoyance. He found Gao Rouer bothersome.

"My wife is very jealous and likes to hit people. If you don't want to get slapped again, stay away from me."

Gao Rouer instantly remembered the burning slap she received at Manxianglou. Her smile froze.

Chairman Gao tried to speak for his daughter, "Mr. Jiang, Rouer was just..."

Before he could finish, Jiang Chenyi interrupted, having no patience for Chairman Gao's praises of his daughter. He had heard enough and felt disgusted.
