So enjoy!!!

Ray was doing the groceries while Anna was resting at home. He let out a sigh as he grabbed the chocolate Anna had been asking for for weeks now.

When he turned around, he bumped into a woman.

« Sorry, ma'am. »

« Oh, no. I'm the one sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going. »

They both observed the other. Ray noticed the woman's gaze on him. She was analyzing him. Well, not like he wasn't doing the same thing but, anyway.

She had long dark brown, almost black, hair tied in a braid falling over her right shoulder. Her purple eyes looked tired. She was a black wolf, just like him. Ray couldn't help but think that she looked so... familiar.

The woman noticed his frown.

« Is something the matter? »

« Oh! Hum... sorry. I didn't mean to stare. »

The woman let out a chuckle. Ray crossed his arms.

« Can I ask you a weird question? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. »

« Go on. »

« Have we met before? »

He saw the woman's eyes widen for a moment. She took a better look at him and Ray swears he saw her eyes widen in realization.

« Is your name... Ray? »

Ray frowned and took a step back.

« How... How do you- »

« How do I know your name? »

Ray nodded and the woman let out a chuckle.

« Twenty-two years ago, I gave birth to a boy. He looked exactly like you. I named him Ray. »

Ray's eyes slowly widened.

« We never knew what happened, but... a few days after coming back home, he suddenly... »

The woman took a deep breath and Ray could hear the slight tremors in her voice. He took some steps back closer to her.

« He suddenly disappeared. Even after all those years... we never found him back. »

Ray stayed silent for a bit. His mind was racing until it stopped on one peculiar memory.

When they were seven, Ray and Norman had found a piece of paper left by their father. It was telling them what the names of their real parents were. He remembers being mad for weeks, even months, after this.

He remembers their name. His mother's name was...

« Isabella Asulf. »

The woman's eyes widened.

« Isabella is your name. Your husband's name is Leslie. You're... you're my parents. You're my mother. »

Isabella softened. Ray raised his gaze to look at his mother.

His mother...

Isabella took him by surprise when she suddenly took him in her arms. It didn't take long for him to hug her back.

« Wait- you were at the hospital that day? »

« Yes. Some friends told us they thought they had found our son. So we went to see only to get told that he had left without anyone knowing. »
