Jack followed Millie and Ciarán into the house, who were dressed as Cosmo and Wanda from Fairly Odd Parents - in that order. Ciarán was in full drag, with a huge pink wig and a yellow dress on, with a pink fur coat thrown over his shoulders and pink heels he had gotten from the women's section in Penneys. He held a wand in one hand, and a bottle of Tesco Gin in the other. He had fixed a crown above his head with a few pieces of wire, giving the illusion it was floating a few inches above him. Millie wore a white shirt that she had cut into a crop top, a black tie, and black trousers with black Dr. Marten boots. She too had a crown, but had sacrificed the wand in the place of her crutches.

He followed closely behind them carrying Millie's bag of cans and his own Vodka. He wasn't a massive fan of Halloween, but he had tried to make a bit of effort. He wore a red tartan shirt, jeans held up with suspenders, and brown boots, and he carried a plastic axe. Ciarán had darkened his stubble a bit with makeup. It was simple, but it was something. Millie had joked that he was dressed as a 'lumber-JACK.'

'Love the costume!' exclaimed a girl dressed as an angel as she walked hand-in-hand with a lad from the house, who just wore normal clothes and had a few splotches of fake blood on his face.

The house was rammed with people. Music blared from the sitting room, but people were spilled out into the hallway, the kitchen, and up the stairs. He caught glimpses of costumes as they moved toward the kitchen. He spotted a group dressed as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a guy dressed as a nun complete with fake tits, a girl dressed as what looked like a Dealz version of Jessica Rabbit, and a guy in an inflatable sumo suit.

'Nickelodeon called, and they're liv-ing!' yelled a voice that Jack recognised as they entered the kitchen.

'Hey Sav, good to see you,' smiled Millie, giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, 'these are my housemates, Ciarán and you know Jack.'

'Ciarán, nice to meet you. Jack, how are ya?'

'Great to finally meet you,' beamed Ciarán, 'Millie has told me a lot. She's feckin' obsessed with ya, like.'

Millie reddened out of embarrassment so Jack jumped in, 'good to see ya Savannah,' he smiled, 'and nice costume too by the way.' She was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, and held a basket full of jello-shots in her hand, which she divvied out to them.

'This is my housemate,' Savannah continued, and Jack could see the girl next to Savannah was trying not to look at Millie's prosthetic leg, which Millie seemed to notice too.

'Avalanche when skiing. Barely made it out alive', she announced and the girl's eyes enlarged.

'Jesus Christ. That's mad!' she replied dramatically, but Savannah tore Millie away from them before the conversation could continue and the girl disappeared, leaving Jack with Ciarán.

'Wait, so how did Millie actually lose her leg?' Jack asked and Ciarán smirked.

'No idea. She told me it was a roller-coaster accident.' Jack was confused, at this point he had lost track of the stories. He'd heard her say it was a shark attack, a bear fight, she was mauled by a gorilla, and it was torn off after being caught in an elevator door. It seemed she had a different reason every time she was asked about it!

'Jack, what's the craic?' He turned. It was the guy from The George; the lad Savannah had introduced him to - Paul.

'I'm gonna go get a drink, brb,' said Ciarán and left the pair of them alone.

'What's the story?'

'You don't remember my name, do ya?' he smirked, his teeth were perfect - he must have had braces in secondary school. They looked whitened too.
