"Agent Jackson, thank you for handling this case. We wish for you to investagate this case. The killer brutally skinned the woman alive and hung her from her ceiling fan," Percy's boss, the head of the FBI Robert Page, told him, "We've seen at least 26 other murders exactly like this over the past 3 years and we still have no clue on whos the culprit. Thats why we called you, you're our best agent."

That was true. Percy was only called in when it was something major happens. Percys last job was to save the president from a terrorist group in South America.

Everyone knew him in the government. He was called the Reaper for all the people he's killed in saving America so many times. And in the wars. He won 7 medals for crossing enemy lines to save 15 hostages single handedly, leading a raid on an enemy base, and most importantly ending the war by killing the terrorist leader. He did his job better than anyone else.

They almost made him a General but he joined the FBI instead.

"Okay sir, give me a list of all the murders and I'll start investigating," Percy said.

Robert handed him a file and Percy left the building. He stepped into his convertible and drove back to his apartment on 5th avenue.

As usual traffic was terrible. Percy checked his watch, it said the time was 12:03 he had an entire afternoon all to himself. The perfect time for investagating.

Red light. He was stuck in traffic again. He looked out of his window to see a billboard.

'Get your tickets today for the broadway musical Les Miserables! Starring Chelsea Stevenson as Cosette and Piper McLean in her broadway debut as Eponine!' The billboard said. A girl with brown hair was plastered next to the writing.

That picture. Why was it familiar?

He couldn't fighre it out. He decided to buy tickets to next Thursdays show at 10am front row, and a backstage pass so he could meet the girl.

The light turned green. He made it home at 12:37 and unpacked his briefcase. The first picture was of a fairly pretty woman.

'Reyna Avilla Ramirez Arellano: Born August 3rd 1998- Died February 9th 2026'

She was thel ast victim. February 9th was last week. Percy pulled out his laptop and looked her police records up.

'Reyna Avilla Ramirez Arellano, ex wife of Jason Grace, Lawyer, worked the Hannigan, Lanson, and Cristian cases, all cases lost."

Percy knew about those cases. An arson, a robber, and a hit and run. All were locked up five years but released a year later. All possible suspects for revenge, and all were free when the murders started.

Her ex husband could've had a motive too, and he has no criminal record besides a speeding ticket in high school. He looked up a picture of Jason Grace.

He knew this man. He was the most popular boy in high school. He never even gave Percy a sideways glance. But Percy didn't mind, he never liked the attention, and because he was always in detention.

He looked up where Jason lived and it was only two blocks away. He grabbed his gun and put on his blazer. He picked up his briefcase and tucked his badge into his pocket.

He went out to the parking lot and got into his back up cop car. He drove out into rush hour traffic. He immediatly turned on the sirens so he wouldn't be stuck. He arrived at Jasons apartment.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Jason answered almost immediatly.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Percy Jackson, FBI, I need to ask you a cew questions," Percy said. he showed Jason his badge.

"Percy Jackson? I know you!" He said.

"Yes yes many people know of my achievments please let me in," Percy said.

"No no its not that we went to high school together. Weren't you the kid who always was in detention?" he said.

"I'm suprised Mr. Popular remembers a trouble maker like me now please let me in," Percy said.

"Okay come in, but what am I being questioned for?" He asked.

Percy walked in.

"You're ex-wife, Reyna, has been murdered," Percy said.

Jason gasped.
