Leo awoke to the sound of nothing. His alarm didn't go off.

7:50 am

He had 10 minutes to get to work. His best friend, Piper McLean, got him a job as a set contractor for Les Mis.

He and Piper have been best friends since the 6th grade when Piper transferred from California to New York. He was always the class clown and Piper automatically became his partner in crime.

He pulled on his jeans and a white t shirt and sprinted oht the road and down the street. He knocked over about 6 people on his way to the theatre.

He darted inside to see Piper waiting for him onstage.

"Yo Valdez! You're late again!" She snickered.

"Shut up McLean you've been late before too!" He yelled as he walked down the center aisle.

"Well stop strutting, get your butt down here, and help set up!" She yelled.

"Alright."

He got up onstage and started movinf set peices of hus creation into place. Once the opening scene was set and ready the run through had begun.

Leo kept removing set peices unoticable the entire show. When Piper began her song he always stopped and paid attention.

And now I'm all alone again no where to go no one to turn to

By the time she had finished Leo was crying. He always did because she sang it like it was really happening to her.

Thats how good she was. He loved hearing her sing.

Leo continued the set changes as the show went on. By intermission he was exsausted, but not nearly as exsausted as Piper was.

He walked into her dressing room to see her taking a nap on her sofa. She wouldn't be able to do this during the preformance because that intermission was 15 minutes not an hour.

She looked so peaceful when she sleeped.

He sat down in a chair and checked his facebook when Pipers co-star Chelsea came in.

"Pipers asleep and you might not wanna wake her up right now," he told her.

"I'm not looking for Piper right now, Valdez. Someone out in the lobby is looking for you," Chelsea told him.

"Who?"

"FBI," she sounded a bit frightened.

"Okay, but Chelsea," he started, "don't fear me cause I did nothing."

She looked hesitant.

"Okay, well they seem antsy."

Leo walked out of the room and into the lobby. Two men were there waiting for him.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

The men turned around he recognized them both immediatly.
"Percy Jackson and Jason Grace," he sighed, "I don't believe it."

He glared daggars at Jason.

"How do you know us?" They said simultaneously.

"We went to the same highschool. But why do you need me?" He asked.

"Your a suspect for the murder of Reyna Avilla Ramirez Arellano," Percy said, "Is there some place private where we could question you?"

"They've got an empty dressing room. Would that work?" Leo asked.

"Perfect," Jason said.

Leo directed them to the empty dressing room.

"Where were you the night of February 9th from 10pm to Midnight?" Percy asked.

"Easy I was at home," he lied. The truth was embarrassing.

"So no one was with you?" Jason asked.

"No I was alone," he lied again.

Percy stared at him.

"You're lying. Do you know what the consequences are for a murder this brutal?" Percy handed a picture of the dead body.

Leo almost threw up.

"Okay, I wasn't at home. But I can't tell you where I really was, you'd never believe me," he said.

"Well, until then we're gonna have to bring you down to the station and give you a holding cell," Percy said. Jason handed Percy a pair of handcuffs and took him out if the room.

They passed by Piper's dressing room where she was still sleeping. Leo got one last glimpse of her before he was out in the audience. He walked pass Chelsea who gasped loudly and ran backstage.

Leo was put into the back of s cop car and they drove away.
