On Wednesday afternoon Hazel took some of the profits she had made and went out to get a new dress for the show.
She headed out to the nearest Macy's and started to shop.
As she was looking through some of the dresses, a saleswoman with her name tag reading 'Staci'
"May I help you find anything?" She asked.
Hazel had seen a dress online that caught her eye. A baby blue casual dress with a pink and yellow floral pattern. Hazel casual dream.
"Um, yes. Online I saw a casual dress that was blue with pink and yellow flowers on it," she told Staci.
"I have a few dresses like that, what size would you be?" she asked.
Hazel knew right away she was a petite size.
"Um I think I'm a 2 or 3," she told her.
"Perfect, wait here I will be right back."
Staci shuffled off the find Hazel her dress. Hazel turned around and saw a wall filled with a beautiful arrangement of flats. She looked at a few pairs when a pair of sleek gold ones caught her eye.
They were just her size. Soft golden material covered the outside of the shoe with a white laced over tip. Hazel loved them.
Staci came back with three dresses.
The first one wasn't the one Hazel was looking for and it was conpletely hideous and gaudy. Staci put it on the 'not for me' hook.
Hazel tried on the second one, which was the one she was looking for. She danced around in the mirror letting the end of the dress billow around her knees. She absolutely loved it.
She tried on the third one, but even though she had her heart set on the other dress this one was still amazing.
It was yellow with blue and purple flower prints. She loved this one as well.
Hazel decided to get both dresses and the shoes. Staci tried to sell her some other accessories but Hazel couldn't afford anything else.
On her way out a man ran into her.
He was tan and had curly brown hair.
He looked exactly like her ex boyfriend Sammy.
"Sammy? What are you doing here?" She asked him.
"Um, who's Sammy?" The guy asked.
Apparently he wasn't Sammy.
"Oh sorry sir, it's just you look so much like someone I know," she explained.
"Oh, well goodbye," and he raced off.
What was his problem?
She walked back to her shop and saw Rachel handling with a costumer.
"Oh! And heres my partner Hazel, you know she painted that kitten," Rachel told her costumer. It was an old lady holding Hazels first animal painting.
"Ooh! Lovely work you do my dear!" The old woman complimented.
"Why thank you," Hazel replied.
"How much would this be?" The olf woman asked.
"I would say 50 dollars," Hazel told her.
"Oh my thats a bargain for this price!" The old woman said as she handed Hazel 50 dollars.
As the old woman hobbled out a tall blonde man walked in.
"Are you Hazel Levesque, the painter?" He asked.
"Why yes," she said.
"Good, my name is Ovtavian Westerly. Could you paint me a picture of a grey owl with a cresent moon reflecting in his eyes?"
"Oddly specific, but yes. When do you want it by?"
"How about, Sunday? I'll pay you 150 dollars for it," the man stuck out a wad of cash, "I want ti give it to my new girlfriend as a present."
"Oh if course!" Rachel snatched the money out of his hand and started counting it, "Hazel can have it done in no time."
"Thank you," the man sped out.
Hazel started on the painting.
