She opened the door for her date.

He was tall with short blond hair and pale skin. He wore a pair of tan slacks and a brown blazer of a baby blue shirt.

"Wonderful to finally meet you Annabeth," he offered her his arm and she took it.

"And you too, where are we going?" She asked.

"The Maple Club," he said.

"Ooh how fancy," she said as they got into his car. He owned a slick black convertible with seat warmers. They pulled up to the resturaunt and got seated.

A waitress with short brown hair came to there table.

"Good evening, my name is Ruby and i will be your server tonight," she said, "here are your menus and would you like to sample tonights specialty champagne?" She held up a large red bottle with the label 'calla de nu'

"Sure," the two said in unison. They laughed. Ruby poured two glasses of the pink drink and hurried off to serve other guests.

"So Annabeth, what is it like being a billionaire?" He asked.

"Well, some days it feels like I'm living on cloud nine and others it feels like hell," she said, "and whats it like being a hot shot senator?"

"Most of the politics I work with don't know what they're talking about," he sighed.

Annabeth looked through the menu. They had everything from veil parmesean to cocktail shrimp, from cremé brûlée to mini ravioli's.

Mini Ravioli's.

Annabeth decided what she wanted right there.

"Do you know what you're getting?" He asked.

"Yep, I'm getting the mini ravioli. What are you getting?" She asked him.

"Well, I've decided to get the steak," he told her.

Ruby came back over and took their order.

"Tell me about your childhood," she said.

"Well, when I was 8 I started running track and I won about 19 awards by the time I was 16," he told her.

"19 awards? That's pretty impressive, but nkt as impressive as winning a Noble Peace Prize," she smirked.

"You're reciving that award? That's amazing! Congratulations Annabeth," he said.

There dinner arrived quickly ans hot.

"Mm these raviolis are delicious!" She exclaimed.

"The steak is magnificent!" He said.

The two ate chat all evening. After there $137 dinner, they went to a small ice cream shop for dessert. She got cake batter and he got mint chocolate chip.

They walked around and chatted some more. The topics changed from past injuries to favorite things.

Annabeth learned that his favorite color was gold and that he loved birds.

He dropped her off at her place at 10:48 pm.

"I had a lovely time with you Annabeth," he said.

"As did I, Octavian."
