[Voyager 2 - Engineering]
"Capacitance levels are rising. Sixty percent, eighty five percent, ninety eight percent. We're ready to create the subspace divergence field." said B'Elanna 2.
[Engineering]
"Initiating. Power flow nominal, Captain." said B'Elanna.
"Synchronise computer event timing. Ready to release depolarisation pulse on my mark. Now." said Janeway.
"The pulses have been emitted, Captain. The fields are starting to depolarise." said B'Elanna.
[Voyager 2 - Engineering]
Both ships are shaking.
"But we aren't merging. In fact, we're going further out of phase!" B'Elanna 2 yelled.
[Engineering]
"Increase power to the deflector dish." said Janeway.
"I can't! Too much plasma back flow. If we keep this up, we're going to lose our antimatter connection. We'll both be destroyed!" B'Elanna replied.
"Abort!" Janeway yelled.
[Voyager 2 - Engineering]
"Aborting resonance pulse." said B'Elanna 2.
"What went wrong?" Janeway 2 asked.
"I'm not sure. I think the plasma flow became to turbulent. The divergence fields were so chaotic, we couldn't complete the merging. We've lost the comm. link as well. Captain, the antimatter leak? It's becoming a haemorrhage. If we don't start the proton bursts, we'll be completely drained in thirty minutes." said B'Elanna 2.
"The lives of both crews are at stake here. I can't make unilateral decisions that might affect that other ship. Janeway to Kim. Is the spatial rift--"
[Voyager 2 - Bridge]
"Still stable?" Janeway 2 asked.
"I think so, Captain. And I've rigged a phase discriminator. Kes should be able to go back safely." Harry 2 replied.
[Voyager 2 - Engineering]
"Rig another one, Ensign. I'm going with her." said Janeway 2.
[Voyager 2 - Turbolift]
Harry puts a band on Janeway's arm.
"This should protect you from the spatial transition." said Harry 2.
[Voyager 2 - Corridor]
"Keep trying to re-establish a comm. link between the ships." Janeway 2 said.
"I will, but remember, we have fewer than thirty minutes of antimatter left. Whatever you do over there, do it fast." said B'Elanna 2.
"Understood. Are you ready?" Janeway 2 asked.
"Yes." Kes replied.
[Corridor]
Deck fifteen.
"It's gotten worse here." said Kes.
Janeway 2 looks at a computer screen.
"Command and Control is in main Engineering. Let's go." Janeway 2 said.
[Engineering]
"I don't know how else to stop the antimatter drain, except with proton bursts." said B'Elanna.
"We can't do that. We'd damage the other ship just like this one. Think, people. We need options." said Janeway.
Janeway 2 and Kes enter.
