[Doctor's office]
"I want a deck by deck search of all Jeffries tubes and conduits. Use the Federation tricorders." said Seska on the monitor.
"Do you have a portable thoron generator?" Suder asked.
"Yes, of course. We use it to treat radiation burns." said the Doctor.
"It's an old Maquis trick. Thoron particles neutralise tricorder sensors." Suder said.
"Mister Suder, we need some weapons if we're going to retake the ship." said the Doctor.
Suder goes into the access tunnel.
[Camp]
Baby Wildman is crying.
"She has a fever. I don't know what to do." said Wildman.
"Let me get her some water." Janeway said, she walked out the cave to where Harry, Christina, Amanda, B'Elanna and some others were.
[Outside camp]
"The baby needs water." said Janeway.
Christina hands Janeway her cup of undrunk water, which B'Elanna notices, Christina had pretty much nothing to drink for two days, she was getting dehydrated.
"Those tremors seem to be getting stronger." Amanda points out.
"Chakotay's team should have been back by now. We'd better look for them before it gets too hot. Get a few people together. I'll join you in a second." said Janeway to Harry and Amanda.
Janeway walks back into the cave as B'Elanna turns to Christina.
"Christina." said B'Elanna annoyed that the woman wasn't keeping herself hydrated.
"What? The baby needed water." Christina replied shrugging, she walked past B'Elanna who locked eyes with her sister who was smirking.
[Tunnel]
The natives start a brush fire to smoke them out.
"Come on. We have to see if there's another way out of here." said Chakotay.
Further along, there is a small rock fall after a tremor.
"I feel a breeze." Kes comments.
"It's coming from this way." said Neelix.
That way lies a cave with a giant serpent sleeping in it.
[Outside the tunnel]
The search party see the natives outside the tunnel entrance.
"Do you really think Commander Chakotay would go in there after what happened to Hogan?" Amanda and Harry asked.
"He may have had no other choice." said Janeway.
"How do we get them away from the tunnels?" B'Elanna asked.
"A couple of phaser blasts would do the trick." Christina said coolly.
"Who are the fastest runners here?" Janeway asked.
Amanda, B'Elanna and Ayala raise their hands.
"I was on the decathlon team before I quit the Academy. The track and field coach was furious with me." said B'Elanna, Amanda smirked and rolled her eyes.
"Anyone else here who can run?" Janeway asked.
"Yeah." said Ayala.
"Okay. You three will be the sprint team. Once you reach our camp, you should be safe." Janeway told the three of them.
