Steven gasps and screams, jolting awake. He throws the blanket aside and bolts out of bed, leaving footprints in the sand surrounding his bed, forgetting that his restraint is still on.
The restraint fulfills its purpose and yanks him back, causing Steven to crash to the ground with a groan.
As he struggles to his feet, he approaches the mirror, his reflection staring back at him. "You there? Hmm? No? Yeah, didn't think so." With no response from the mirror, Steven dismisses it as another dream.
Continuing with his day, he disembarks from the bus and heads toward the museum. Climbing the museum stairs, he glances behind him, checking if he's being followed yet again.
Entering the lobby, he passes by a janitor carrying tools. Steven begins to realize that this might not be a dream after all.
"Bruv,hey," J.B, the security guard, greets him as he hangs up caution tape, blocking off part of the museum. "Oh, hey. Bro, it is proper mad in here."
"What happened? What is it?" Steven asks, growing worried.
"They're saying burst pipes, but don't look like that to me," J.B responds, gesturing towards the area with an arrow sign.
"Has anyone seen the security footage?"
"Well, yeah, I was about to."
"All right. I think I should go with you, yeah? I may have some information about it," Steven whispers, still unsure whether this is a dream or reality.
"All right, come on," J.B agrees. "Do not tell Donna that I let you into this arena."
Steven gets close to J.B trying to prove that this is important " Bruv, listen, I must warn you. What you're about to see is gonna melt your brain. Yeah? Come on. Listen to me. It's like Area 51, like MI6 bonkers, bruv. Yeah?
The two watch the tapes, but the Jackal doesn't appear on camera, making it seem like Steven was dragging Marina around the museum at night.
"You messed up the loos," J.B exclaims.
"Shh. I don't..." Steven put his head in his hands in frustration " Fast forward till when I come out. When I come out. Oh, yeah, why not, yeah. Let me do it."
'Steven' emerges from the bathroom into the frame of the security camera, holding an unconscious Marina and glaring at the camera.
J.B sits up alarmed. "Is that Marina? No wonder she didn't show up today. What did you do to her?"
Steven shakes his head, staring back at the man on the screen. "That's not me."

Marina sits in her living room, her gaze fixed on the ceiling. Countless questions whirl through her mind over the past 24 hours. How did she find herself back here, and why was the room so devoid of music? It's the quietest it's been in her apartment for a long while.
