Dockfoot sat quietly in the middle of the gathering spot, her fur bunched up in the windy autumn night. Dockfoot always loved autumn, and leaf-fall the best. It brought good memories from her life.

"I suggest we practice Frosttears power tonight. We haven't in some time." Rattledsky chimed, lifting his paw. Dockfoot nodded in agreement.

"I suppose. What should I do for you?" Frosttear asked, laughter in his eyes. The group of cats had gotten closer and closer each time they visited, and now these cats were a large part of Dockfoots life.

"Hm. Do you think you could freeze the ground around my paws, and make my paws stuck to the floor?" Rattledsky asked, flicking his long sokoke tail.

"Er...how would you get unstuck?" Frosttear asked, stepping back.

"I could spark a fire, and try to immediately put it out with my eyes, but I would need to concentrate to control it." Burninggaze offered.

"You can spark fires?" Dockfoot asked, gaping.

"I am called Burninggaze." Burninggaze pointed out, laughing. Dockfoot laughed along, nodding.

"Fair point."

"Alright." Frosttear glared down at Rattledsky's paws. Frosttear lifted his paw, and stretched out his claws, ice shooting around Rattledsky's paws and causing him to become stuck by one paw. Frosttear focused hard, his face scrunched up. An ice block began to form, and finally trapped around his paw. Frosttear stumbled, gasping for breath. Pythonfang came up beside him, pressing her body to his as he lost balance. "Sorry...it took a lot of energy out of me."

"Woah..." Rattledsky breathed, gazing down at his paw. Dockfoot stood up, fear edging her pelt.

"Burninggaze..." She stuttered. "Can you free him?" Burninggaze focused on his paw, and his eyes began to glow slightly as a small fire began to spark beside the ice, melting it quickly. Rattledsky jumped back from the fire as soon as he could, shaking himself out as Burninggaze closed out the fire, stomping on it as well to finish off the remains.

"I think we're getting pretty good with our powers. We are almost good enough for whatever's coming." Dockfoot smiled.

"I don't know...we aren't sure what actually is coming, what if we are nowhere near prepared?" Pythonfang sounded doubtful.

"It can't be that bad..." Dockfoot frowned down at her paws.

"I hope not." Burninggaze yawned. "I'd better get home. I'm on the dawn patrol." The other cats murmured agreement, but no cat moved.

"Maybe we should share new things in our life first?" Dockfoot offered. "Just to update each other. I'll start. I have an apprentice now." She smiled proudly. "His name is Emberpaw, and he is my older brother's son!" The other cats purred.

"Congratulations!" Rattledsky beamed. "I have an apprentice as well, Finchpaw!"

"My kits are almost warriors." Pythonfang smiled. "And I'm expecting a second litter now."

"What! Why didn't you tell us?" Frosttear smiled. "That's amazing!" Pythonfang ducked her head.

"Okay, now I definitely have to get home. Goodnight!" Burninggaze lifted his tail as he padded out of the clearing. Dockfoot turned to go as well, nodding in agreement.

Dockfoots heart raced as she stood outside the warriors den. She had been thinking for a while, and knew it could not go on for any longer. She had to tell Mossfame that she could not be his mate anymore.

"Mossflame." She whispered, hissing. Mossflame blinked his eyes open, confused as he trudged out of the den.

"Dockfoot? What is it?" He asked as she led him around the back of the den, behind a separate bush.
