Confidently Lost - Sabrina Claudio

Klay rested in bed, while the television played his highlights from last season. He took note of the pros and cons in his technique, physique, and plays. Klay always wanted to improve himself and he would do that by any means necessary.

Eventually he became bored of this. Klay didn't have a specific person to claim his freetime. That's part of the reason why he's so involved with his craft. He didn't have anyone telling him to take a break and focus his attention on them. Some nights Klay did long for a partner, but he also didn't go searching and hunting– he wasn't a fan of dating sites. He believed what's meant to be will be and happen naturally.

Just as Klay prepared to roll over and fall asleep, his phone sent a notification.

dearramtaylor has recently added to their story!

It had been about a week since the interaction with Dearra at the club. The two hadn't really spoken much. Klay tried, but Dearra seemed uninterested, so he fell back. He wasn't one to force someone to speak to him when they didn't want to.

Klay clicked the notification, and instantly Dearra's story appeared. It was a picture of her dressed up, probably a brand awareness deal. That was something Klay noticed about her, she never looked regular or casual. She always looked prepared to model the nearest runway. Klay was also surprised by the amount of followers she had. She had six million followers and labeled herself as a social media influencer.

Klay decided one last time, he was giving a conversation between them one last try. He pressed the 'reply to story' button, but he sat for a minute thinking about what to say. He didn't want to reply with emojis– that was boring and childish to him. Everytime his fingers moved against the screen, he then deleted the message. After ten minutes, he settled for, "You look pretty in this picture." He hoped it wasn't too straightforward and scared her off, but he also wanted to be truthful and express his interest.

Almost immediately the typing icon appeared in the message thread. Klay didn't expect her to reply so quickly, considering the last few times they've texted she tends to take longer to reply. When the bubbles disappeared, the incoming message was revealed. Klay didn't wait to open the message, he wanted to reflect the same energy he was receiving.

Dearra: Thank you, you're always complimenting me lol 💕

No problem. I like to let it be known.

Dearra: Right, right.

I have a question.

Dearra: I may have an answer, Klay.

Might be a stretch, but would you like to get lunch tomorrow?

There's a place downtown I hit occasionally.
