Chapter 13: Research Base

Ludmilla explained what was going on to Apex Squad. They learned that the Raptures have taken over the research base.

"So, we have to take it back?" Anis said.

"Are we going to sneak in?" Neon wondered.

"If we are, I prefer if you head before me, Commander."

"Why? So, you can have my ass in your ass?" Y/n raised an eyebrow.

"What, no!"

As much as Ludmilla was amused, she explained, "Sneaking in isn't possible. The place is sealed up tight."

"You're sure there's information about the Pilgrim inside, right?" Rapi asked.

"Absolutely."

"Are you Rabbity's teammates?" Alice asked with curiosity.

"Rabbity?" Rapi quirked an eyebrow.

"Yes, my Queen's servant! The one who will help take me to Elysium."

"No, we're the Commander's..." Rapi stopped as Y/n nudged.

She glanced at him and saw a mischievous smile and a playful look in his eyes.

"Why... Yes, yes, we are Rabbity's teammates."

"Wow! So does that mean you have legendary weapons as well?" Alice was excited.

"Yes... we do," Rapi looked off to the side.

"What are they? What are they? I want to have a look!" Alice bounced around excitedly.

Neon and Anis were bewildered.

Y/n leaned to Neon and whispered, "Make something up."

A determined gleam shined off of Neon's glasses, "Mine is my eye.

"It can shoot a light beam that torches everything into contact!"

"Wow!" Alice exclaimed.

"We rarely allow her to use it because she has a strange obsession with firepower," Y/n commented.

Neon pouted and glared at the young man cutely, but he ignored her.

"Mine is this pair of gloves. One punch while I wear these, and my opponent is down for the count!" Anis said.

"Neato! What about you?" Alice expectantly looked at Rapi.

"I..."

"Rapi's legendary power was seal because it was all too powerful," Anis explained.

"Holy macaroni! Really?"

"Yes, it's been sealed away in her chest," Anis's teasing smile appeared.

"And only the Rabbity can break the seal."

"Please show me!" Alice was excited to see Rapi's legendary weapon.

"As you know, Rabbity, you can release the seal by undoing some of Rapi's buttons."

Anis wanted to tease and embarrass Y/n, but she wasn't expecting her commander to go along.

"Alright, Rapi. Break the seal."

Rapi kept her stoic expression before looking off to the side, "I-If I break the seal, the area will turn into ash."

She brought her attention to Y/n, "Such the almighty power of a legendary weapon."

"Sweet mama jamma, that's one heck of a weapon!" Alice exclaimed.

"Yes, so we must use it sparingly."
