Vacation: Day 21

Y/n headed to the Rehabilitation Center as he had a session with Sin. He had to keep his wits when he talked to her. He even brought her a gift.

Y/n entered the interrogation room, closing the door behind him. The young man walked over, placing the shoes on the table.

Sin didn't show it, but she's slightly surprised that the shoes were the newest model Quency told her about.

"Are these □○ for me?"

"Perhaps," Y/n said, sitting in the other chair.

Y/n took a look at Sin's criminal record.

Of the 81 recorded cases where Sin was caught aiding and abetting various crimes, 7 of them were murder, 11 for arson, 18 for assault, 7 for smuggling, and 38 for fraud.

It was only the first set of records.

The young man could see Sin's rap sheet was abundant. He noticed most of them involved aiding and betting.

"How you didn't get scraped honestly impresses me," Y/n said.

"You know □● these shoes are a half size ○● too big," Sin said.

"Deflecting, huh?"

"I will be deducting □□ ten points, Counselor," Sin said.

Y/n deduced he needs to earn "points" with Sin if he wants her to cooperate with the constitution, but he will play his game.

In an instant, Y/n snatched Sin's shoes, causing the woman to become bewildered.

"I thought it was a gift ○● for me."

"Oh? You were complaining about the size of the shoes. You don't sound appreciative that I went out of my way to buy these," Y/n said, smiling.

"I thought they were a gift," Sin said.

"I remember you saying you don't need the shoes during our first session together."

Behind Sin's mask, she clenched her jaw, 'I thought he would forget about that.'

Sin calmed down and decided to change tactics.

"Consultation is like any other ●□ kind of communication; a two-way street where both sides ●● need to understand and connect."

"The previous counselors ●□ wanted me to reform □● as fast as possible," Sin laments.

"Sin, do you want me to be honest with you?" Y/n asked.

"Please."

"I think you're a lost cause," Sin's eyes widened.

"Honestly, I bet you can't get rehabilitated," Y/n said, provoking her.

Her counselor's words rubbed her the wrong way. Sin doesn't understand why she's wasting her time if this is how he thinks.

A unique word caught her interest as her scheming mind started to work in overdrive.

'No, I can't make a bet with him. He's probably hoping I would latch onto the bait.'

Growl!

"It's been a while since I last ate. Could we get something to eat while we talk?" Sin sheepishly asked.

"You can starve," Y/n said.

Sin pouts behind her mask, "You wouldn't let a poor girl starve, would you?"

Y/n sighed before getting up, "Don't get your hopes up."

Y/n took the shoes with him as he didn't trust leaving them alone with Sin.
