Billie didn't remember falling asleep in Jamie Tartt's bed, she didn't remember if she'd set an alarm for the next morning either.

As she rolled over in Jamie's large king sized bed, his arm wrapped around her waist she glanced at the alarm clock on his bedside table to see that it was 10:07AM, and kick off was at midday, which meant that she had less than two hours to get ready and make it to Liverpool in time.

"Jamie," She turned back to face him, nudging him with her elbow, "Jamie, it's past ten."

"Hmm," He hummed, pulling her closer to his chest.

"Jamie," She tapped his arm, "I've got to get up."

"I'm comfy," Jamie mumbled, pressing a kiss against her shoulder as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Jamie, I'm meant to be in Liverpool and the match kicks off in less than two hours, I really need you to let me get up," She muttered, gently kissing his cheek as he wordlessly let her slip through his grasp, "Thank you."

She climbed out of the bed, wearing a t-shirt and gym shorts that Jamie had given her the night before, grabbing her clothes from her bag and slipping into his en suite, swiftly closing the door behind her.

After a brisk shower she dressed herself in her jeans from the day before with a new cropped t-shirt before pulling on the black Adidas hoodie that Jamie had leant her, knowing that it would probably be cold on the sideline in Liverpool.

Once she'd dressed she hurried back into the bedroom where Jamie was propped up in bed reading something on his phone, "You called Brad a community penis?"

"What?" Billie stuttered as she pulled her wash bag from her tote bag.

"It's in The Sun," Jamie replied, showing her his phone screen.

"Well, I did tell them they could print it," She sighed, "Didn't think they would."

"I like it," Jamie smiled as Billie hurried back into the en suite, keeping the door open.

"What else does the article say?" She called out as she rummaged through her makeup bag for hair gel and hair bands, deciding that she'd just wash her hair that night after the match.

"Just Lasso peddling some more of that yeehaw bullshit," Jamie sighed as he climbed out of the bed, wearing just a pair of shorts.

"Ted didn't know," Billie assured him as she kept her eyes on her reflection while trying to tame her hair into some sort of bun.

She could remember the look on Ted's face when She and Beard had told him about Jamie's departure. He was even more devastated by the news than Billie, he felt as though he'd finally got through to him, and he was finally about to utilise his potential as a key member of the team.

"Bils, there's no way he didn't know," Jamie huffed as he watched her finishing whatever it was she was doing to her hair.

"You didn't see him when I told him," Billie replied as she swiftly cleansed and moisturised her face, "He was completely discombobulated by the news."

"Discom-what?"

"I'm telling you, he didn't know," Billie smiled as she looked at him through the mirror.

"If you say so," Jamie muttered, and Billie could tell that he was conflicted by it all, because in his eyes, Ted had abandoned him, and in doing so he'd wound up in the place where his father could easily reach him.

"You okay?" Billie asked as she quickly painted her lips with lip oil.

"Yeah," Jamie nodded as he approached her, hugging her from behind as she struggled to fit all of her stuff back into her makeup bag, "Can't you just pull a sickie?"
