I like telling the major plot points of a story in fragments/pieces. For example, I've been setting a certain one up since volume 1.

Ah, I've been so out of it lately.

Meh, fuck it.

Year 842, Wall Sina

The scene was picturesque. Beautiful lake, ducks in the background...The chirps of birds ringing in the ears, giving a pleasant melody. It would be an almost serene experience for anyone.

Two figures could be seen, one clad in a black jacket and top hat, standing tall next to the other, sitting on a fallen log, wearing pristine white robes.

The first man's name was Kenny Ackerman, better known for his escapades murdering over 100 Military Police that garnered him the flattering name of Kenny the Ripper.

The other was Uri Reiss. Holder of the Founding Titan, the strongest of the 9 Titans and the man nearing the end of his 13-year term.

His body was frail, requiring a walking stick, and despite being in his 30s, appeared to be nearly double that in age.

Nevertheless, the two looked out into the foggy lake.

"I don't have much time left," Uri's voice broke through the calm.

"I think anyone would notice that," The Ripper commented. "It seems strange for a monster to be undone by age and illness. You disappoint me."

"That's not quite right."

"Hm?"

"This power will be passed down to Rod's children. In a sense, I will live on in their memories."

"...What does that mean? You can pass down that power?"

Uri's ever-present smile never faded, but he didn't answer that question directly. He simply stared off into the lake, watching the ducks swim around the crystal-clear water with eyes a shade of whiteish-purple.

Years ago he, Uri Reiss, once thought he could change the world, free the world from the Titans.

But now?

That was simply as it was told, years ago, a product of a naive young man.

He knew better than to think another way than...

What were his original plans again?

Ah, he couldn't remember.

"Kenny, it won't be long before this world crumbles. And from humanity's fading twilight, I wish to create a lasting Paradise."

When Uri said that, it felt almost natural like he had been reciting these sayings of peace and paradise for decades longer than he lived. Then again, when did it all become so natural to him? He didn't question it, he just let the words flow out of his mouth.

"You're a believer in the power of violence, yes?" He directed the topic to Kenny. "It's an unavoidable truth of this world. Though, what is it that made us into friends when we were so close to destroying one another? Was it violence?"

It was a mutual respect and curiosity of one another.

Kenny shrugged. "No idea. All I know is if you hadn't nearly crushed me in that insanely large hand of yours, I'm sure I would've stuffed your skull full of shit. That's what I thought of you before we became friends."
