Daphne tossed and turned in her bed, hearing a muffled voice warning her of a black bird.

She awoke with a gasp in the middle of the night, looking over to Amber and Mara who were still sound asleep.

The brunette looked at her phone, considering texting a certain boy to get her mind off her weird dream, but she noticed the time and decided against it.

There was only two more hours before her alarm would go off for school, she could wait to tell him until then.

Unbeknownst to her, the new girl had a more vivid dream with the same message in the opposite room.

The elderly lady Sarah, or Emily, warning her with Victor silently standing there, watching her. Black feathers raining down on her as dream her looked around in a frantic state.

Daphne met Jerome in the kitchen the next morning. But before she could tell him about her weird dream, Patricia had came in with Alfie.

As they settled at the dining table for breakfast, Patricia told them about the weird sentence her new roommate kept mumbling throughout her sleep and how she had handled it.

The Devi girl furrowed her brows, finding it weird that Nina had a similar dream to her.

Since the three were smiling, finding the dream funny, Daphne decided against telling Jerome about it for the time being. Surely it was just a one time thing, right?

"I wish I could have seen her face when she woke up just covered in feathers," Jerome smiled thinking how confused and scared the new girl probably was.

"Was it like this?" Alfie pulled a scared face, making the other three laugh.

While Daphne did have a similar dream, she couldn't deny that Alfie looked hilarious with the exaggerated look of shock.

"Hey guys," Patricia caught their attention, speaking to Jerome and Alfie mainly. "I have an idea that will really give her nightmares."

Daphne shared a look with Fabian who had just settled down for breakfast, not liking where the conversation was going.

"Oh yeah," Jerome was interested to know the Williamson's idea since she had more crafty pranks compared to him. "What's that?"

Before Patricia could explain, Alfie noticed Nina walking in, hurriedly shushing them.

"Sleep well Nina?" Patricia teasingly asked. Fabian and Daphne looked towards the American, apologetic looks on their faces.

"Caw, caw!" The two boys followed right after, moving their hands up and down as if they were a bird. The three laughed at each other, thinking they were being hilarious, not knowing how scary Nina's dream truly was.

Jerome looked to his right, realising Daphne hadn't laughed with them. It was only then he noticed the tired look on her face, her dark circles slightly more prominent than usual despite her makeup.

"You alright?" The blonde boy asked softly, not wanting to draw attention from the other two who were still smiling about their bird joke.

Daphne shook her head, "Didn't sleep well." She replied simply, noticing the frown on her friend's face. "I'll tell you later." The brunette promised, knowing she had to if she didn't want Jerome making a fuss about it the whole day.

The blonde boy smiled softly, before looking back up. He noticed Alfie was still pretending to be a bird so he tossed some bits of food into Alfie's mouth.

"Anyone seen Mara?" Amber walked in to the dining area, her hand on her hip, "She's got my hair straighteners." She looked at the others, hoping one of them would know.
