After giving it a lot of thought, I chose a red and white dress. For some reason, it reminded me of Rajasa and me: different yet the same, together yet apart.

"I want to wear this," I said to Nayantara as I stood up to take it and change. Her bright and broad smile told me she was happy with my choice too.

Once I had changed into the dress, Nayantara had me sit down. She began to adorn me with jewelry and then styled my hair.

"You can leave," she said, and with that, she dismissed all the other women from the chamber.

We sat in silence for a while, the air feeling heavy between us. After some time, Nayantara spoke, "Aap janti hain na, Bhaisa yeh sab kyun kar rahe hain?" (You know why Bhaisa is doing all this, right?) Her question struck me.

Of course, I knew what she meant. But was I ready to admit it to her? The answer was NO. But I didn't want to lie either. I took a deep breath and turned to face her.

"I know, I know everything, but some things are just not meant to be. Not every night is followed by bright sunshine." After that, no more words were exchanged.

Just as Nayantara finished dressing me, a guard asked for permission to enter. He informed us that the king had requested everyone to be ready and gather in the court.

Quickly wrapping up, Nayantara bid me farewell and urged me to be on time. I was extremely nervous about whatever was going to happen that night. Even though I asked almost everyone, they all refused to tell me anything, saying, "We have been ordered by the king not to tell you anything."

"I have passed your message on to Rajasa," the guard said with a bow, and then he left.

Soon after, we gathered in a large court that was usually used for performances like the one planned for tonight. I reached the gates when two other guards swung them wide open, announcing my presence.

Everyone around me stood up. And at the very front was my inspiration, my mentor, my father. As always, his face was devoid of any emotion.

"Greetings, Father," I said, and he responded by patting my shoulder.

"Today, your long-held wish will be fulfilled." I replied, "You've been saying that for the last three days. I hope it lives up to its promise." Bringing Yashika into this family was Baapusa's greatest desire, but after discovering the deception, he was deeply hurt and angry. He thought it was she who had deceived him and fled. However, the truth was still hidden from him.

As I took my throne, I instructed everyone to sit. My gaze swept across the hall and then up to the top, where I saw Yashika standing at the edge of the court balcony, which brought a smile to my face.

"Let us begin," I commanded, and my order was immediately obeyed.

(The song holds a very special and important place in Yashika's story... I've been searching for a song that is dedicated to the couple but also authentic. Even though it's fictional, I wanted to include something real. This song, an ancient 14th-century ghazal by Amir Khusro Ji, is the perfect representation of their relationship and how the king grows in love and helps her to bloom as well. It has elements of Avadhi and Indian folk, beautifully depicting the 17th-century era of the Mughals and Indian culture.)

Everyone sat in rows, with the ustaad Ji in front. He closed his eyes, and the world around me faded away, leaving only his captivating voice and the music that made it even more melodious.

Each word struck deep within the heart. I could see why people were so enchanted by him.

Then I saw Yashika above. She was swaying to every melody, gradually starting to twirl. With both hands in the air, eyes closed, and a gentle smile, she seemed to let go of all her worries and fears with each passing moment.

For the first time, she danced without fear of punishment, freeing her soul from all fear and obligations. Her pace quickened, and she danced until she could no more, yet with a smile of fulfillment.

I longed to go to her, to take her in my arms and keep her safe and warm.

"You were truly mesmerizing tonight. I had only heard of you, but now I see that words can't describe your talent and devotion."

After presenting them with ten thousand gold coins and pearls, we concluded the evening, but only for the others.

The next moment, soldiers marched in, escorting three people in a row.

When everyone laid eyes on them, their expressions widened in shock, as if their eyes might pop out at any moment. But it was Yashika who wore a mask of terror across her features.

She looked as though she wanted to run and hide somewhere far away.

I walked toward her, holding her gaze with determination, and lifted her chin gently. "Not today," I said firmly. "Today, you will not cry. It is time for revenge. It is time for the devil to sit back and take lessons. The battlefield is yours, the rules are yours, and the outcome will be in your hands. Now you decide how you want to end this." I could see her eyes brimming with tears, but she did not let a single one fall.

"Tonight, destiny will change forever," I declared, my smile undoubtedly the broadest it had ever been, my chest swollen with pride.

She strode past me and stood before the girl who was kneeling down in front of her. "How are you, PRINCESS?" she asked.

The disgust and hate was brimming with her tears and anger of her face. She pulled herself with full force to attack Yashika but even to my surprise Yashika didn't even flinch. Which made me smile even more wide.

"You bit...", and next moment it was Yashika fingers printed on Her face. She look of shock on her face was clear evidence that she was definitely not expecting this from Yashika.

"Say another word and I will chop that TONGUE of yours.",and yet another slap.
This was getting interesting.
