DIGVIJAY'S POV
I could no longer hear. I did not wish to know what they intended, nor if they even sought to end my life. I fled from there, not caring if I might be caught. All I desired was to find myself far from these treacherous souls.
They continued their chatter, but my ears had become deaf to all around me. Swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat, I stealthily slipped out of that room and returned to whence I had come. Since that moment, I have been unable to focus on anything at all. All I yearn to do is confront everyone. I need to understand why they did this to me.
My head hung low in defeat, fingers tangled in my hair, pulling in frustration and helplessness. Today, I feel like an orphan. I feel alone, like a failure. I once believed I had a family, but it turns out there is no one in this world whom I can call my own.
And suddenly, it struck me: "This is exactly how Yashika, my little warrior, must have felt when her family betrayed her every day. When I broke her heart." I felt Ratan's hand on my shoulder, still steadfast by my side. Raising my head, I looked at him, and then the face of Nyantara came to my mind. My little sister, who has always been there for me.
But above all, it is Yashi, my little warrior; she had endured hell. Now I understand how strong she truly is, the extent of her suffering throughout her life, yet she never relinquished the hope of a happily ever after. The strength she possesses in her tiny frame is beyond measure. My respect for her has grown immensely.
"I need to go!" I stood abruptly, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. All I could see was Yashika.
I was gathering my sword and a pair of clothes to change when Ratan positioned himself before me. "You cannot leave," he declared.
"Do you hear yourself? You have no right to order your KING!" My eyes blazed with fury, my voice growing deeper with each word.
"You may do as you wish. But as your well-wisher, your minister, and your BEST FRIEND, I will only pray for your happiness and safety and do everything in my power to protect you. The rest is up to your decision, RAJASA," he said, lowering his gaze and stepping back.
This was not easy at all. I shut my eyes and took a deep breath, attempting to calm my nerves. "Clearly, there is no room for argument, I suppose." We both shared a brief, knowing laugh.
"I'll take my leave then," he said, turning to depart. My mind, unwilling to hold the thought back, blurted out, "You do know that I hate you, right?" He turned his head just slightly and replied, "The feeling is mutual, Your Highness." With that, he was gone, leaving me with a smile on my face.
I know this rogue loves me deeply, and he knows I feel the same for him. And once again, I was left with my thoughts in this solitary room.
Every night, I envision a life that Yashika and I will build together. A life where there will be no suffering, no agony, and no pain. I remind myself daily of the promise I made—the promise of protecting her.
---
Like every day, I woke before dawn to steal out of the castle and see my Yashi. Sneaking out as usual, I made my way to the forest. But what do I see? Yashi was there even before me. She never came this early. Not that I am complaining. In fact, I will have her in front of my eyes for longer than usual.
I gazed at her through the branches of a giant tree I had ascended, the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves casting playful shadows upon her graceful form, making her brown skin glow as she walked towards the lake. Suddenly, her steps paused. She took a moment and turned just slightly, a tiny curve lifting the corner of her lips.
She was definitely up to something. "Princess, you better not be up to what I'm thinking you are," my thoughts raced beyond imagination. My little soldier is extremely stubborn, and there is no doubt about that. She knows the effect she has on me.

YASHIKA'S POV
I picked up Hema and left Dhruv to fend for himself in the jungle. If I know Rajasa at all, he definitely comes near the lake every morning, and that's what will set my plan in motion. "Rajasa, be ready for the torture coming your way," I thought, cradling my little white bundle of joy as I walked toward the lake. Just as I approached, I heard the jingles I had set.
I had attached numerous bells to the dense, towering trees and adorned the branches with vibrant flowers that would fall when he climbed, so I would know when he arrived. Knowing that he was particularly sensitive to the slightest noise, I made sure to infuse the flowers with a fragrance that smelled just like me, hoping to distract him—and it seemed to have worked perfectly.
Leaving Hema to play, I paused. I knew very well that he was watching me. I let my hand drift to my neck, moving my hair to one side before loosening the knot of my blouse, allowing it to fall and pool around my feet along followed by my skirt.
I could only imagine the look of frustration on his face and his fingers itching to hold me, which brought pure joy to my heart. I walked slowly into the lake, gently washing my long hair while he endured the sweet torment of waiting. Once I finished, I stepped out, my fingers still playing with my hair and a smirk on my face. But when I reached where I had left my clothes, I looked down and was taken by surprise.

AUTHOR'S POV
Digvijay was in pure torment as Yashika provoked him, pushing him to his limits. He desperately wanted to approach her and have his way, but he knew he couldn't. Yashika was challenging every boundary, teasing him relentlessly.
When she tossed her clothes aside, Digvijay perched himself comfortably on the branch, though it was getting increasingly difficult to stay put.
Yashika's hands swayed around her body, accentuating her curves and leaving him thirsting for her. Her fingers grazed over her neck, danced through her hair, and slowly traveled to her chest before teasingly trailing down to her waist. With each deliberate step she took toward the water, Digvijay felt the tension within him coil tighter.
His fingers twitched involuntarily as he watched Yashika play with her own curves in the water, a sight both mesmerizing and maddening.
"All right, little warrior. If we are playing, then we play it my way," he muttered to himself. He climbed down from the tree, but this time Yashika didn't hear the sound of his descent. Being the clever strategist he was, Digvijay had noticed the bells tied to the branches and the flowers that had fallen to the ground while he was hidden above.
Once on the ground, he picked up the clothes Yashika had left behind and placed them carefully aside. He took out his deep red, almost brown scarf and laid it on the ground, knowing it would be the perfect addition to his plan. He wrapped it around his head, covering his face with it for anonymity.
Then, he made a tiara from the vibrant flowers scattered in the jungle, creating a crown befitting her beauty, ready to present to her and play a new game with her.
