Dear God this took longer than I thought it would. Sorry about the long wait, but I suppose it is just part of the process. And fun fact, this is I think the longest chapter I've ever written.

But before I let you all continue reading, we figured you guys should get a content warning of what this Fic will be including throughout the story, in case you are easily made uncomfortable by such things.

So, what you should be looking out for is child abuse, blood, human gore, disturbing imagery, death(duh), depression, talks of suicide, attempted suicide, and a purple emo.

So that's all that I could think up if that could merritt a warning, but I'll stop yammering and let you all get to what you really want.

Hope it was worth the wait.

And just as it is made to, the loving Sun rose to the horizon, basking the sky in loving colors, warmth casting to all within its reach, bringing life to the planet. The golden glares entered the young boy's room, light glaring onto his closed eyes, piercing the thin flesh, discomfort growing as his eyes fluttered open only to have them blinded by the rays.

Moving off his side he sat up, letting out a loud yawn as his arms stretched out, rubbing his sore eyes, looking to his sides for his parents but saw nothing. "Mom? Da-" "Boo!" "Ah!" Y/n flinched backwards, falling off the bed and smacking onto the floor, Tessa's laughs echoing through the room. "Haha, oh my. I'm so- heh, sorry." She struggled to get a sentence out, being interrupted by her own giggles bubbling out her throat despite her efforts in trying to silence them. "Ow, what was that for?" Y/n groaned, sitting up. "I didn't think you'd react that drastically. It was meant to be a joke." Tessa tried to explain herself, amusement still present in her tone.

The boy let out a dramatic huff, turning away. "That was still rude." He pouted. "Aw, come on don't get that way. I said sorry." She hummed, walking over and sitting next to him. But he let out another huff, scooting a bit so he was facing away from her. "Wha- hey! Come on, how many times do I need to say sorry?" Much to her annoyance the younger boy still didn't respond, looking away whenever she tried to look at him. "Ugh! Come on, stop being so stubborn." Tessa groaned, exasperatedly. Y/n stayed quiet, for a minute before sighing and letting his arms droop to his sides, leaning his head back. "Fiiiiinnneeee, I forgive you. But only this time." He finally caved in, Tessa chirping out a happy 'yay' and giving him a quick hug, staying seated next to him.

"So, what should we do today?" Tessa questioned, eager to begin the day. "Uh... Ooh, we could go exploring!" Y/n suggested, recalling the vast woods he saw when he first was driven up. "Oh, that could be fun. Yeah, I think I know some place we could check out." Tessa hummed, nodding her head as the boy smiled. "Great!" Y/n hopped to his feet, excited to get going, though Tessa grabbed his wrist, pulling him back down.

"Hold yourself! We can't go exploring yet, you haven't even changed, and breakfast is soon. And unlike you, I don't wanna get scolded for skipping out again." Tessa scolded the boy, earning an awkward chuckle from him. "Really? Sorry, guess I got ahead of myself." He nervously laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. Tessa just sighed, letting a soft smile take her lips. "It's fine, just, try not to do it again, okay?" She requested, the two talking about whatever.

Though their nothingness of a conversation was interrupted by a light knock on the door, and a woman stepping in, Y/N's mother. Before Lucy could talk, she noticed the two children happily chatting on the ground. "Oh, I didn't realize Tessa was here too." She commented, smiling at the two, the children looking to the door. "Mornin' ma'am!" Tessa greeted, giving a small wave. "Hi mama!" Y/n cheerily greeted, a big smile on his face. "Morning kids." She responded, amused by the two's energy.
