Waking up has never been so challenging as today. Straining himself to sit up he groaned at aching in his body, struggling to stand up, needing to grab his bedside desk to stabilize himself to not risk falling over, taking a minute to recollect himself before changing and stumbling to the bathroom. It felt as if he just finished an exercise routine, body screaming for him to rest. But as has done many times just ignored it and continued onwards.
Making his way into the bathroom Y/n stifled a yawn as he waved hello to Tessa, though barely raised his hand, feeling far too sore. Struggling to even teach the toothbrush and paste, but managed. “Morning.” Tessa hummed, voice mumbled from her toothbrush. “Hey. Morning Tess.” He grumbled, scrubbing away at the possible building up plaque clinging to his teeth.
Tessa was first to finish up, spitting out the built up foam and rinsing her mouth, setting the brush back. Though when she looked back in the mirror to make sure her face wasn't messy, she noticed something absurd. Whipping around she looked too Y/n, looking him up and down. "What?" He questioned after a minute, looking down to meet her eye to eye.
"You- You're taller than me!" She exclaimed. Y/n looked between her and the mirror confused. Realizing he could still see himself in the mirror despite standing behind Tessa. 'Oh damn.' He whispered. "You've grown a good five inches overnight, and you didn't notice?!" "No." Tessa let out a groan, smacking his shoulder, slightly upset she no longer held the leverage of both oldest and tallest.
"You're the worst." She grumbled. "Well I learned from the best." Tessa rolled her eyes, arms crossing over the other as she gave him the side eye. "Prick." "Jerk." They both said in unison. Sharing a small chuckle, Tessa then turned and left, Y/n finishing up his routine. His legs were killing his as he essentially dragged himself to the kitchen, but gave up and went to his room. He wasn't hungry, the manor’s too big, and he wasn't no masochistic.
Flopping onto his bed he let out a groan of satisfaction once off his legs, the pressure damn near agonizing. Feeling his pants leg drag up as he laid down he attempted pulling it back down and failing, quickly realizing he'd get nowhere, having outgrown the cloth's reach. ‘Dammit.' He whispered, letting out an annoyed huff, not wanting to deal with the struggle.
Y/n spent the better half of an hour contemplating the existence of his limbs, questioning why they decided they suddenly despised his comfort. But before he could truly go off on his rant, he was interrupted by a knock on his door. Turning his head towards the door he let out a low groan, rolling over to his side and ignoring the knocking.
It wasn't until his bedroom door was opened did he bother opening his eyes, seeing J walk in. "Oh, hey J... Did you need something?" He mumbled, not bothering to sit up, the effort too draining.
"I just overheard from Tessa you've had a growth spurt, are you alright? Sore at all? If so, is there any way I can help?" She questioned, though she sounded a bit... Off... Like yes she sounded the same, but there was an underlying tone of something he couldn't put his hand on. “I mean, yeah a bit sore but nothing too big. Probably just gonna sleep it off.” He dismissed her offer, thinking it would all just pass over in a few hours if he didn’t strain his muscles. J seemed hesitant to leave, but gave a small nod, letting it be known her help is always there at just a call, and walked off. Y/n curled up in his sheets, trying to find the most comfortable position to lie in, closing his eyes and allowing himself to fall asleep, thinking the next morning will be perfectly normal.
