After some time and many cases of trial and error, they managed to bring down the drone, which they've named J, down into the library basement, thankfully not falling while going down the ladder. Setting down the wrapped drone, the two needing a moment to stretch their backs. Having never been down in the library basement he took a moment to look around. In all truth he didn't even know there was a basement.
His eyes quickly drawn to the table holding their shared laptop and few tools sprawled across the table. ‘Oh that's where it went.’ He hummed, walking over to the device. “So, shall we start now?” Tessa questioned, sitting the drone up. “Guess so.” Despite his less than enthusiastic answer, Tessa was still excited, grabbing two rags, tossing one to Y/n who caught it with ease. Apparently she also already had a bucket with soapy water ready for use, setting it next to her as she sat down, dipping the rag in the water. “Well hurry and help, she's not gonna get clean anytime soon.” Tessa scolded, earning a chuckle from Y/n as he sat on his knees, wetting the rag, and joined Tessa as they cleaned down the drone.
Cleaning is… hard.
Especially when what they're trying to clean has about a kajillion indents and grooves purposefully built into it. Now yes that's over a tad exaggerated but that's just how they are, you should've expected so by now, but either way a kajillion or not, it was a tedious process. The duo spent hours cleaning the oil stains and mud patches, eventually finishing the cleaning at least.
Afterwards the two had realized the time, having missed dinner. While a shame there wasn't much they could do, instead opting to hang out it Tessa's room. Tessa used the boy as a pillow, head rested against his ribs, legs held up to prop the laptop, watching some random video to pass the time. Said pillow in question was just laying there, watching from the side, occupying the time by messing with his glasses. Folding the arms, flipping them open while holding the bridge piece between the lenses, whatever could amuse his mind. Occasionally slipping them on when glancing to the computer, intrigued by something he heard.
At some point Tessa looked up, staring at the boy. Eventually noticing the stare Y/n looked down to match her stare, responding with a small hum. "Yeah?" Tessa moved her arm up and made a grabbing motion. "Let me borrow your glasses.” curious gaze shifting to one of suspicion he moved his own hand back slightly. “Why?” His suspension clearly amusing to the girl, recalling her past jokes. “I won't do anything this time. Promise. Just wanna see how blind ya really are.” She giggled while giving her defense, trying to stretch her arm out further, though at a disadvantage with how they were laying.
Eventually he gave in, feeling slight pitty, handing her the frames. Eagerly accepting his offer, that she practically begged for, sitting up and carefully resting the glasses over her face. Eyes widening slightly as she looked around, eyes scrunched up. "Wow you really are blind. I can't see a darn thing." She mumbled, the boy laughing lighty in response. "Yeah, kinda why I got them." He couldn't stop chuckling, watching as she looked around like an idiot. Yeah it makes sense why she teased him in the beginning, it was a funny sight. Eventually she gave him back his glasses, claiming her eyes were starting to hurt. Soon the two fell asleep, the laptop left the room illuminated with a constant thrum of background white like noise.
Upon first stirring back to consciousness, Y/n felt a strange sensation against his skin, nose getting agitated by the sensation, feeling as if about to sneeze. He attempted to sit up and open his eyes, but forgot his current purpose was as a pillow, realizing then after he got a blurred view that Tessa’s hair was as sprawled out just as she was, blanket barely on either. Moving off the bed he rubbed his eyes, trying to remove the sleep induced blur. Not like his vision wasn't a constant blur. Glancing to the bed stand he focused on the alarm clock, pausing as he realized the time.
