Chapter 65: Ghost story of Antonio Bay

Opening scene for Kingdom Hearts: The Fog

The heroes are settling in the Gummi Ship, enjoying their vacation, after a very hard time fighting the forces of evil They've arrived in Antonio Bay just this morning, and are about to enjoy their vacation now. As they relax, Sae looks at the clock, and sees it's almost midnight. It's 11:50 pm. She looks at everyone, and clears her throat. Everyone looks at her.

Sae: It's 11:50, guys. Almost midnight. We still got time to do one more ghost story. If anyone wants to hear it. 

The heroes all look at each other, and at her. They all look at her as they listen to her. She clears her throat some more. 

Sae: You see, in ten minutes, it'll be the 21st of April. 100 years ago on the 21st of April, out in the waters around Spivey Points here in Antonio Bay, a small clipper ship drew toward land. 

Momo: Was the ship part of Antonio Bay, or was it from another land?

Sae: Another land. They were hoping to live here. And suddenly out of the night, the fog rolled in. 

Ulrich: A fog? 

Sae: Yeah. It just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It covered the whole ship and the entire area around them. For a moment, they couldn't see anything. Not a foot ahead of them. They were blind in the fog. And then they saw a light. It was a fire burning on the shore strong enough to penetrate the swirling mist. With that only option, they steered a course toward the light, but it turned out, it was a campfire. They realized it too late, for they came in too fast. The ship crashed against the rocks. The hull sheared in two. The mast snapped like a twig. 

Miki: Were there any survivors?

Sae: No, there wasn't. The wreckage sank into the ocean with all the men aboard. And on the bottom of the sea lay the Elizabeth Dane with her crew, their lungs filled with salt water, their eyes open and staring into the darkness, and above, as suddenly as it had come, the fog lifted, receded back across the ocean, and never came again. But the story goes on and is told by the fishermen and their fathers and grandfathers that when the fog returns to Antonio Bay, the men at the bottom of the sea out in the water by Spivey Point will rise up through the fog and search for the campfire that led them to their dark and icy death. 

Sora looks at her, and at everyone. Their hearts getting chills of this story. 

Sae: But every year though, on the 21st of April, mystery things kept happening. Like some people vanishing around Spivey Point. They weren't seen every again. No one knows what happened to them, but the fishermen believe that the men that died were the caused of the disappearances. The only things that were found were the boats they were on. No one was on board them. The reason I know this is because my grandfather used to live here in Antonio Bay before moving back to Japan. He told me the story himself.

Just then, the clock alarm goes off. Sae looks at it, and at everyone. They all look at her as the alarm continues. 

Sae: 12:00, the 21st of April. 

Sora holds Kairi's hand as they both look outside. They can hear the wind blowing. They even hear a bell ringing out there. The heroes start feeling some more chills as the story has now got them. They don't know if the story is true, or just a myth. But little do they know, their vacation is about to become a horror.
