इतना खूबसूरत इत्तेफाक था,
रात अमावस की थी और चाँद मेरे पास था

Mishti stood in the grand hall, her breath catching in her throat. It was enormous—far larger than anything she had imagined. Outside, two grand fountains glimmered under the soft moonlight, but the hall itself seemed to overshadow even that vast expanse. Its sheer size and elegance were overwhelming, a perfect blend of royalty and serenity.

"What is this place?" she muttered, her voice barely audible as her wide eyes took in the marble floors, intricate carvings on the walls, and chandeliers that sparkled like stars.

The silence in the hall felt almost sacred, a stark contrast to the noise she expected from the event. Turning to Riya, she asked, "Did we come early?"

Riya, however, seemed lost in her own world, her gaze fixed on the magnificence around them. Her lips parted slightly as she tried to process the overwhelming beauty of the palace, but no words came out.

"Riyaaa!" Mishti pinched her arm, snapping her out of her trance.

"Ouch!" Riya yelped, rubbing her shoulder as she glared at Mishti. "Kya hai?" (What is it?)

Mishti grinned, unbothered by her friend's annoyance. "The event hasn't started yet. What should we do?" she asked as they began walking further into the hall, their footsteps echoing softly against the marble floor.

Riya was about to reply when her gaze landed on something above. She gasped, grabbing Mishti's arm. "Look!" she whispered, her excitement bubbling over as she hurried up the grand staircase to the second-floor balcony.

Mishti followed her, curious. As she stepped onto the balcony, her eyes widened at the sight before her. The sprawling garden stretched out beneath them, illuminated by the soft glow of moonlight. The fountains that had seemed so massive before now appeared tiny from this vantage point. The scene looked almost magical, like a painting brought to life.

But what caught Mishti's attention the most was the swing. It stood in the middle of the garden, glistening under the moonlight. It reminded her of the one at her home, though this one looked far more luxurious. Its golden frame seemed to glow, and the white cushions appeared so inviting that her heart instantly ached to sit on it.

"Mishti, I'm going to find Raghav. Are you coming?" Riya's voice broke her reverie.

Mishti hesitated, her gaze lingering on the swing. Her heart tugged in its direction, and she knew she wouldn't be able to resist its pull. "You go ahead," she said, her voice soft. "I'll join you in a bit."

Riya raised an eyebrow but didn't argue. "Don't get lost, okay?" she teased before disappearing down the hallway.

The moment Riya left, Mishti's feet carried her down the grand staircase, her eyes never leaving the swing. The hall fell silent once again, save for the faint sound of her footsteps.
