Main rota raha sari raat
Jiski yaadon mein,
Woh shakhs masroof raha
Kisi aur ke saath baaton mein,
Main toot sa gaya hoon
Jab se mili ye khabar mujhe,
rakh diya us shakhs ne apna haath
kisi aur ke haaton mein. The doctor stepped out of the room, his expression neutral as he addressed the family gathered in the hallway. "She fainted because of stress, maybe due to the marriage. She's up now; you can meet her," he informed them before turning to leave. Tina had already quietly slipped away, leaving the rest to confront the situation inside.
As the family entered the room, a thick tension hung in the air. Mishti sat propped up on the bed, her face pale and drained of color. She looked like a fragile doll, holding herself together by sheer will. The weight of betrayal and confusion weighed heavily on her heart, and she struggled to maintain a composed facade.
He was the first to approach her, offering a glass of juice. His eyes held a hint of concern, but his face remained impassive. Mishti accepted the glass, her fingers brushing against his as she took it from him. For a brief moment, her eyes met his, searching for some semblance of comfort, but she found none. His gaze was calm, detached, as if he were merely a spectator in this unfolding drama.
Mishti forced herself to take a sip, her throat tightening as she swallowed. She felt out of place, lost in a sea of faces that she once thought of as family but now felt like strangers. The only person she had ever truly considered family was Raj, and he had shattered that bond in the most brutal way.
As she handed the glass back to him (raj's brother), her composure cracked, and tears began to spill down her cheeks. The room seemed to blur around her as the weight of her situation pressed down on her like a vise.
Raj, standing by the foot of the bed, saw the tears streaming down her face. Guilt gnawed at him, but instead of retreating, he took a step forward, his voice firm and resolute. "Mom, I will marry Mishti only. I love her," he declared, his tone leaving no room for argument.
The words hit Mishti like a slap to the face. Her fingers curled into fists, her nails digging into her palms as anger surged through her. How dare he? she thought, her mind reeling. How dare he speak of love after what he did?
Mean his brother, he tood back, his eyes narrowing as he watched the scene unfold. He leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed, observing the family drama with a mix of amusement and indifference. He had no intention of getting involved, but he couldn't help but feel a twinge of sympathy for Mishti. Despite his detachment, there was something about her vulnerability that struck a chord deep within him, though he would never admit it.
Yet, his amusement outweighed his sympathy. This family is a mess, he mused, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He decided to simply enjoy the spectacle, letting the others tear each other apart.
