"What a day." said Eddie as he gathered his things from the locker room.

"Yeah, that was a long shift. Not so Q word tonight that's for sure." Chim replied.

Exhausted but exhilarated, the team gathered in the dimly lit confines of the firehouse, shedding their gear and trading stories of the day's rescues. Buck looked over at Eddie, then along to the rest of the team.

"Anyone up for a drink?" Buck had a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

Eddie arched an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "You read my mind Buckley."

The rest of the team exchanged knowing glances, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten in the prospect of unwinding together. "Count us in," Bobby said with a grin.

"Drive me," Buck smiled at Eddie, making his way to the older man's truck without even waiting for a response. Eddie just chuckled. He couldn't even explain the effect Buck had on him. It was something he hadn't even fully comprehended himself yet. It was like a magnetic pull, an irresistible attraction that left him breathless and wanting more.

As they settled into the car, Eddie stole a glance at Buck, his pulse quickening at the sight of the playful smirk on his friend's face. It was moments like these that made Eddie acutely aware of the simmering desire that coursed through him whenever Buck was near, a desire he struggled to contain beneath a mask of casual banter and friendly camaraderie. But try as he might, he couldn't ignore the way his body responded to Buck's proximity, the heat pooling low in his belly and sending shivers down his spine.

Okay he needed to calm down before his body takes over and leaves him hard in the drivers seat.

With a deep breath, Eddie focused on the road ahead, pushing aside the sexual thoughts that threatened to consume him. Tonight was supposed to be about unwinding with friends, not giving in to the temptation that came with Buck's presence.

Arriving at the bar, the team pushed their way through the crowded room, the air thick with laughter and the clinking of glasses. They managed to snag a booth near the pool tables, where Chimney and Hen were already off to play a game.

As they settled into the booth, the atmosphere in the bar was electric, everyone dancing and laughing over the music. Buck and Eddie sat side by side, their bodies almost touching, which was igniting a fire in Eddie.

Bobby disappeared into the crowd of people to get drinks, leaving Buck and Eddie alone for a moment. The air crackled with anticipation as Buck turned to Eddie, a playful glint in his eye. He knew Eddie better than the man knew himself, and he could tell he was riled up. Buck wanted to push his buttons just a little.

"You seem... on edge tonight. Something on your mind?"

Eddie felt a flush spread across his cheeks at Buck's proximity, the heat of his breath sending shivers down his spine. "Just ready to let loose, I guess," he replied, trying to sound nonchalant despite the butterflies fluttering in his stomach. He was just horny, right?

Eddie found it hard to meet Buck's gaze directly, knowing that looking into those deep, soulful eyes would just send him over the edge. He quickly averted his gaze, focusing on a spot over Buck's shoulder instead.

But Buck noticed the avoidance and reached out, gently turning Eddie's chin so their eyes met. "Look at me," he murmured, his voice low and commanding.

Eddie's breath caught in his throat at the intensity in Buck's gaze, his heart pounding erratically in his chest. With a shaky exhale, he met Buck's eyes. Buck just smirked and slowly let go of Eddie's chin.

"That's better," he said softly, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

Buck leaned back in his seat, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. He stood up, leaving Eddie totally breathless and unable to form a coherent thought.

Watching Buck walk away, Eddie couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and desire swirling within him. He wanted nothing more than to follow Buck and lose himself in whatever it was they just shared.

Boy was he gonna need a shit ton of alcohol to get him through tonight.

Bobby returned with Buck and some drinks, handing Eddie a beer. Eddie forced a smile and thanked him.

"Actually, I think I'm gonna get myself something a little stronger. Whiskey maybe."

Buck chuckled at this, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he sent Eddie a wink. It was a small gesture, but it sent a surge of heat coursing through Eddie's veins. With a newfound determination, Eddie downed his beer and headed for the bar, ready to drown his confusion in a sea of whiskey and regret.

Hours slipped by in a blur of laughter and conversations. The once bustling bar had now quieted down, with only a few stragglers remaining as the night wore on. The 118 had left, except for Buck and Eddie, Buck insisting on staying a little longer and well.. Eddie had drove them.

Eddie didn't mind, instead he found himself sinking deeper into the warmth of his whiskey, his inhibitions gradually melting away with each sip. Buck, on the other hand, seemed to be thriving in the late-night atmosphere.

"Hey," Buck said with a mischievous grin, his hand lingering on Eddie's arm a little longer than necessary. "You ever wonder what it would be like to break all the rules, just for one night?"

Eddie couldn't help but laugh at Buck's antics, the alcohol making everything seem funnier than it probably was. "I think we've already broken enough rules for one night, Buck."

"What do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean." Eddie replied, his voice shaky as he made eye contact with Buck.

"Come on, Eds," Buck continued, his voice dropping to a husky whisper as he leaned closer to Eddie. "You can't tell me you've never thought about it before."

Eddie's breath caught in his throat at the proximity, his heart pounding erratically as he met Buck's intense gaze. "Maybe I have," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "But that doesn't mean it's a good idea."

Buck's lips quirked up into a playful smirk, his fingers trailing lightly along Eddie's arm, sending shivers down his spine. "Who said anything about it being a good idea?" he teased, his voice low and seductive.

Eddie swallowed hard. He could feel his pants getting tighter and tighter. He knew he should pull away, put an end to whatever dangerous game Buck was playing. But the alcohol coursing through his veins and the heat of Buck's touch clouded his judgment, leaving him powerless to resist.

"Maybe we should just... stick to the rules," he suggested weakly, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

But Buck just chuckled, the sound sending a jolt of electricity straight to Eddie's core. "Where's the fun in that, Eds?" he countered, his gaze smoldering with desire.

And as Eddie looked back into Buck's eyes, all thoughts of caution and restraint melted away, leaving behind only the overwhelming urge to give in to the intoxicating allure of the moment.

"Fuck it."
