Oikawa's Pov

I woke up from my slumber, blinking sleepily and yawning.

I get up tiredly and rub my face, I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth, getting ready for the day.

I think about Y/n for a moment and smile.

As I'm leaving the house to go to school I see her a little bit in front of me.

"Y/n-chan! Wait!" I say to the h/c girl as she turns around to look at me.

She smiles and wait for me as I lightly jog up to her.

"Hey," she said to me with a smile as I wave, trying to catch my breath.

"H-hey!" I said to her, still not being able to catch my breath.

She laughs a little and it's like music to my ears, I smile.

"How are you?" I ask her as she looks at me, "I'm doing good today, what about you?" She said to me, I smiled.

"I'm actually doing really good, now that I get to see you." I said slyly as a small blush crept on her face.

She smiled at me, flustered.

We make our way towards the school which didn't take to long since it's about 10 minutes to walk there.

Once we reach the gates we both make our way towards the gymnasium.

She parts ways with me to go talk to coach for a moment while I go to the changing rooms and change into my volleyball clothes.

Once I come out of the room I stretch and wait for instructions.

"Okay everyone, please gather around." I hear Coach Nebutaru say as everyone comes near him, I make my way toward him as well.

"So, we have tournaments coming up soon and we want to make a good impression. So today we are going to be doing small exercises and then after Y/n is going to throw balls to you guys at random directions and you will have to chase after them to hit them." Coach explained as everyone nodded obediently and ran off to do their exercises.

I decided to stretch before exercising.

After stretching I started to do some knee exercises and leg ones.

I looked over at y/n and made eye contact with her, I flashed her a smile to which she blushed.

I felt confident after that.

Then coach called us over and told us we would start hitting the balls.

He made us form a line as Y/n go up on the step-stool and next to it was a cart full of volleyballs.

Iwaizumi was first, she threw the ball to the left of him, to which he quickly ran over and got it.

She smiled at his work, and I couldn't help but feel.

Jealous?

I quickly hid the feeling, realizing it's only because she is close to him and she was just proud of him for doing his best.

After Iwaizumi was Akira, he missed a ball, but Y/n still praised him.

"Don't worry, you'll get it next time." She said to him.

Calm down Oikawa.

Next was me, I decided that I was going to show off.

She smiled at me warmly before throwing the ball.

It went to my right and quickly started to move, I then hit it as hard as I could, towards the other side of the court, it bounced off of the wall and came towards...

Y/n.

Oh no.

I thought, as she got hit by the force of the ball and lost her balance on the stool, causing her to fall off of it.

I'm screwed.

It seemed like the fall didn't affect anything, but she just stayed still for a moment while everyone ran up to her.

I ran the fastest.

"Y/n, are you okay? I'm so sorry!" I said as she just got up and nodded, moving her hair out of her face.

She turned to face me and smiled, "Good hit." She said to me, which caused me to blush a little and look away.

Then I faced her again, "You just fell off of a step-stool and that's what your first words are?" I asked her, chuckling a little as she smiled and nodded.

Just when I thought I couldn't crush on this girl anymore.

Everyone was told to take a five minute break after that.

I went over to Y/n and apologized again as she just brushed it off and told me it was alright.

After practice, Y/n and me started to walk towards the gym doors.

We made our way towards our houses in comfortable silence.

I try to decide whether or not I should tell her, if she rejects me that leaves my ego bruised and probably an awkward relationship between us.

But if she accepts then we could both be happy.

After all my contemplating, we end up at the front of her house.

She thanks me for walking with her and starts to make her way towards her door, but I grab her wrist.

"Hey y/n-chan," I said to her as she looked towards me, confused, "Yes?" She asks me while smiling lightly.

I suddenly get a boost of confidence, "Would you like to go out on a date on Saturday at 4?" I ask her as her eyes widen.

She thinks for a moment before nodding enthusiastically.

"Yes, I would love to." She says as I let out a sigh that I didn't know I was holding back.

She quickly kisses me on the cheek and heads her way inside.

I stand outside her house for a moment, I touch my cheek where she kissed and I start to smile.
