Chapter Twelve

I looked at Min-Suk and shook my head before sitting at my desk, I poured myself a drink before glancing at him.

"So what's up?" I asked.

"The card siblings are on the way, but I wanted to talk to you before they got here." He said sitting down.

"I figured." I said.

"You think we can trust them, it seems like they aren't as secured as we thought." He said.

"I don't trust anyone but you, but the card siblings...are indeed struggling. Ace tries to hide it but they don't have the man power to go after Xavier by themselves." I explained.

"That is true." He nodded.

"But we will keep our guard up." I said.

He nodded as his phone began to ring, he answered it and looked at me before hanging up.

"They're here, I'll be back." He said.

I stood up and looked out of the window before sipping my drink. I watched as Harlow engaged into conversations with her two friends and smiled, that dressed hugged every curve. I would kill any man that dares to even look her fucking way, with no regrets.

Min-Suk came into my office and I turned around facing him to see that the card siblings were now beside him.

"Gentlemen, and Lady." I said.

"What's up Jay." Ace said slapping hands with me.

"So what do you know about this Xavier guy?" I asked leaning on my desk.

"He was pops right hand man...they got into it and fell out. I didn't think he was going to come after us." Spade said.

"I knew it was coming." King said.

"What you mean you knew?" Queen asked.

"I had a feeling...but I didn't say anything because I didn't want Ace to worry." He said glancing at Ace.

Ace scuffed and shook his head.

"Look, if Xavier is a problem to y'all it's only a matter of time before he becomes a problem to us. That is why we are getting involved...this is not a hand out." Min-Suk said.

"Did you contact the Military men?" I asked.

"Yeah, we did...we got the man power." Ace said.

"We're going to do more digging for Xavier since we're more on the business side we'll handle the tech work. Can you guys keep your ears to the streets?" I asked.

"We can do that." Spade nodded.

"Good now in the meantime let's go to the V.I.P. section and enjoy the club." Min-Suk suggested.

"Finally, we need a release after this fucked up week." King said.

Ace chuckled.

"I'll meet y'all down there, Jay can I talk to you?" He asked.

I nodded before Min-Suk and the rest of the siblings left.

"A drink?" I asked.

"Nah, I'm good." He said sitting down.

I nodded before sitting down.

"What's going on?" I asked.

He sighed and rubbed his hands over his fade.

"Man to man...not business not suppliers, a real man to man talk." He said.

"Ok." I nodded.

"You've been in this business for a long time. You what 45?" He asked.
