Chapter Thirty-Nine

I rubbed my hands through my hair as I watched over the club it's been a hell of a year, meeting Harlow and the roller coaster we've been on. This was one eventful year, and I'll be glad when it'll be an entire new year. New beginnings and New opportunities for everyone. I sat at my desk as I looked over the club numbers.

"The king is here." Min-Suk said busting into my office.

"I'm the real king thank you very much." Ace said following behind.

I rolled my eyes and stood up, it's been a while since we've all had a sit down. Ace and his siblings were busy rebuilding there fathers territory, Min-Suk was busy being Min-Suk and I was busy with Harlow.

"None of y'all are Kings." I scuffed.

I poured us a drink before placing the cups in front of them.

"I feel like we haven't seen one another in a while." Ace said picking up his glass.

"We'll between Jay groveling for his girl back and you working on your territory, I'll have to say we've been busy men." Min-Suk said.

"So what did you do with Xavier?" I asked.

Ace chuckled as he took a sip of his drink.

"Let's just say...he will never be a problem again." He said smiling.

Min-Suk and I looked at one another and nodded.

"So what's going on with this James guy?" Ace asked.

"I just want to see what it is he wants, I invited him for a sit down here at the club." I said.

"Yeah, but what about Calista?" Min-Suk asked.

"If she was working with James, then we'll see what we can do about that. I can't exactly kill her because she is the sister of a now powerful man, we can't keep digging ourselves in these holes and complain how hard it is to get out." I said.

Ace chuckled as I looked out the window.

"Sound like my father, but I agree let's at least try to keep the peace." Ace said.

"Less violence less work." Min-Suk said.

"Good because he's here." I said.

Min-Suk and Ace stood beside me eyeing James down.

"I'll go get him." Min-Suk said.

I nodded as he walked out leaving Ace and I alone.

"So I see Harlow is wearing her ring again." Ace said.

I smiled.

"Yeah." I said.

"That's good, it's also good that you're taking a step back from diving into these situations head first." Ace said.

"Well, it's not just me anymore. I have Harlow to worry about, no matter what I have to get home to her." I shrugged.

He nodded as Min-Suk and James walked into the office, James looked around the office and chuckled.
