Harlow Cole
I pulled my knees to my chest as I watched TV, more like the tv was watching me at this point. I heard a knock on my door and sighed before standing up, I opened it to see Marley. She looked fucked up, I could smell the alcohol on her breath and I could see the powder substance on her nose.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked.
"Have you heard from Jason?" She asked.
I Scrunched up my face confused.
"No and if I did what's it to you?" I asked.
She looked at me and sighed coming into my apartment, I rolled my eyes leaving the door opened because this was about to be short.
"Harlow...Jason and I..." She trailed.
"Jason and you what?" I asked.
"We've been seeing one another and it's been a about two weeks since I've heard from him." She said.
I looked at her and chuckled.
"That's low, even for you...I haven't heard from him and don't want to. If that's all you needed then you can go and please don't show up here again." I said.
She looked at me and clinched her Jaw.
"Low? This is the same bitch who sulked months after he cheated. You still waited for him to call you and begged for you back." She said.
I looked at her unfazed.
"Do you think I will honestly sit here and be lectured by a crackhead? Get some help." I sighed.
She pulled out a knife and looked at me, my eyes widen as she pointed it at me.
"Marley what the fuck." I said.
"You think you're so fucking perfect huh?" She asked.
"Perfect? Marley you have so much ahead of you...you're an intern for one of the best hospitals in Denver." I said.
She looked troubled, I looked past her to see Jay walk into my apartment. He pulled his gun out and I locked eyes with him and shook my head, he looked at me like I was crazy.
"You have the perfect life Harlow, you had Jason...now you have Jay, and you have a good career. What about me? I've done everything right...I was a good kid and I am a damn good intern and for what? When I get home every night I lay in that empty bed alone. WHY DO YOU HAVE THE LIFE I WANT?!" She yelled.
I felt tears swell in my eyes...she wants my life?
"You want my life? I'm a dentist with no friends. You want my life? the man I loved the most betrayed me...sold me a dream only to hurt me in the end. I will gladly give you my life if I could." I said.
Jay locked eyes with me as he got closer to Marley, he placed her in a head lock. She tried to fight him off but of course he was too strong, she soon went unconscious. He dropped her to the floor before kicking the knife from her hands.
He walked toward me and I locked eyes with him.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
