I let out a breath as I sat down placing my bags down, Marley chuckled before sitting across from me. Coming shopping with her was a good idea, since we haven't seen one another in a while. Beside Jay was sponsoring this shopping trip so I was going to have a blast regardless.

"So how are things with you and lover boy?" She asked.

"Things are good, we're planning on moving in with one another." I smiled.

"Damn, already?" She asked.

Before I could answer a waiter came and took our order, when he walked away I looked at Marley.

"What do you mean already? Jay and I have been seeing one another for over six months." I said.

"Yeah and what happened to something casual?" She asked.

"We fell in love." I blushed.

"That was pretty quick though." She said.

"Yeah, but with him it's different. I'm different." I said.

"Still the same to me, I don't see much of a difference." She said.

"I thought you'll be happy for me." I sighed.

"I mean I'm all about moving on but with him? You do know what he does for a living don't you?" She asked.

"Yeah, and it doesn't bother me." I shrugged.

"You're so naive." She said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"It means exactly what it sounds like, even with Jason we told you he wasn't shit and you got your heartbroken and now I'm telling you Jay ain't shit." She said.

"You don't even know him Marley. Jason is a walking red flag but Jay, no I've never felt this way with Jason that I do with aJay." I said.

"Mhm, look whatever makes you happy. I'm just saying a man like that and a woman like you..he's bound to do exactly what Jason did. I'm just looking out for you." She said.

"Thank you, but I got it." I said.

Yeah, it's time to cut ties with this bitch. Looking out for me and insulting me and my intelligence is crazy, that's not what friends do. She was different, I don't know what was going on in her life but this was a different person in front of me.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah, never been better." She smiled.

I nodded, our food came and we ate in silence before parting ways. I carried my bags into my apartment to see Jay sitting on the couch.

"Hey Gorgeous." He said standing.

"Hey baby." I smiled placing the bags on the floor.

He embraced me in a hug before squeezing my behind.

"I miss you." He smiled.
