Harlow Cole

I placed my head into my pillow and let out a scream of frustration, once I was finished I felt better. This damn job was always stressing me the fuck out, I heard a knock on my door and began punching the air.

"Dr.Cole?"

"What is it?" I asked.

"You have a walk in." She said.

I sighed before standing up.

"Alright, put them in room 4." I said.

I heard her foot steps walk away and sighed...I stood up and grabbed my white coat before looking at myself in the mirror. No amount of make up in the world could hide these bags under my eyes.

I walked out of my office and grabbed the chart before heading to room 4. I stopped in my tracks as I looked over the name before I looked up.

"Hey baby girl." He said.

His voice sent fear up my spine, I locked eyes with him and gulped.

"Xavier." I said.

He smiled, I kissed my teeth and sat down.

"So what is it that you want?" I asked.

"I want to build a relationship with you, it's been a long time." He said.

"You must be out of your rabbit ass mind if you think I'm stupid." I scuffed.

"What are you talking about?" He asked.

"Look whatever game you and Jay are playing leave me the fuck out of it. I am not your pawn, I am no one's pawn." I said.

He looked at me and chuckled.

"You look like your mother, when you're upset." He chuckled.

I scuffed and folded my arms.

"If you're not here to get your teeth fixed or clean then I suggest you leave." I said.

"I'm your father, where do you think you got the good teeth gene from?" He said smiling.

His teeth were in fact white and straight.

"Like I said are you done?" I asked looking down.

He walked closer to me and placed his fingertips on my chin and pulled my face up.

"What Jay and I have going on has nothing to do with you Harlow. Do you know why I named you Harlow?" He asked.

I moved my face from his grip and looked at him.

"You named me?" I asked.

"I did." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because you are mine. I named you Harlow because it means Army Hill. Strength and Confidence which you never lack. I'll be in touch." He said before dismissing himself.
