Surprise!

Arizona has been gone for a couple days and i decided to surprise her in LA! Sofia is staying with Callie in New York while Arizona is in LA. I know it's only been a couple days but i already miss her so much. I booked my flight for tomorrow morning.

I'm currently at home with Jo and Meredith, we're been drinking some wine and gossiping.

"Can you believe how Derek just told me no?" I half listened to Meredith complain about Derek for the fortieth time. I just simply nod here and there and say "oh wow" or "nuh uh." After a little while Meredith left. I turned to Jo.

"You know in excited to go see her." I smiled, thinking of Arizona. "I know you've been texting me about it all day." She sighs. "Sorry it's just we haven't spent this much time apart and i guess i'm just attached." I shrug. Jo yawns and I laugh.

"You can stay here tonight if you want." I add, she nods and walks into the guest bedroom. I follow her upstairs and go into my room. My suitcase is all packed and so is my travel backpack. I snuggle into my bed, getting under the covers and turning in the tv. I put on Gilmore Girls, as background sound. I watch the tv until i fall asleep.

*The Next Morning, 5:00am.*

I groaned and turned off my alarm. My eyes got droopy but then I shot up, remembering i'm going to visit my girlfriend. I excitedly got out of bed and go into the bathroom doing my morning routine. Once I finished I put in a sweatsuit and some sneakers. I go into the guest room, shaking Jo gently awake.

"Jo... Jo..." I notice she started to stir. "Hey you don't have to wake up all the way but i'm leaving now." I whispered, she simply nodded and went back to sleep. I giggled and closed the door behind me. I walk downstairs with my suitcase and backpack, putting it in my car. I drive to the airport.

Once I arrive I got through TSA etc. I sit and wait for my plane to board when I get a text. I smile when I see who it's from.

I smile and respond.

how'd you sleep last night?

eh is could've been better, wbu?

same, i'm so used to sleeping next to you every night now 😔

i know babe me too but i sent you something and it's supposed to arrive later 🤗

About ten minutes later, my plane was starting to board. Once I found my seat and sat down, settling in. I wait until the door shuts to put a piece of gum in my mouth. Knowing we'd ascend soon, meaning my ears would pop. Once we were in the air, I put my airpods in and listened to sing music. Staring out the window.

A few hours later we descend and are on the runway waiting to be let off. I simply sit and wait. Once they say we can go and open the doors, everyone starts to get their stuff from the overhead and exit the plane. I call my friend Addison to see if she's here. She picks up.

Hey addison where ya at?

I'm near terminal a.

Okay i'm walking there now.

Once I spot Addison, she's standing outside her car waiting. I run up to her and hug her. "Oh wow it's been so so long" I say, pulling away. "Way too long, you have go visit more often. Not just when your girlfriend is in town." I giggle. "I'll try to visit more, I promise." I reply. We get into her car and she drives to the hotel Arizona is staying at.

She drops me off and I walk in going to the front desk. "Name" The receptionist bluntly asks. "Oh Arizona Robbins." I smile. She types on her computer. "Room 2401, floor 4, need a key?" I nod and she gives me a spare copy. I go into the elevator and go up to floor 4.

Once the elevator stops and opens i search for her room. I finally find it and knock on the door. She opens the door, her eyes widen.

"SURPRISE!!" She pulls me into her arms. "Oh my god! Baby! you're here!? how??"She held me close. "I used some extra vacation days." I shrugged because i had plenty from throughout the years.

She then led me inside her hotel.
