"What have you done? Why did you ruin everything? Our story was a fairytale dream come true."
She kept thrashing her arms on the door with full force, only for her pleas to fall on deaf ears. Her wedding bangles broke and fell, her wrists bled and h...
He whispered huskily, and smirked. His grin was evil enough to scare her out of her wits.
Oh God! I can't let another devil run in the family. After my husband, not my son, please.
"And you will not try to save your son."
He snapped and walked out of the door, stomping the door behind him.
She collapsed on the chair, and held her head between her hands.
What shall I do? How do I warn him?
She reached out for her phone on the desk. She quickly dialled her son's number from the call logs.
Please pick it up, Rudra. Please for once, for Mahadev's sake!
Her prayers were answered almost immediately. Her son picked up her call after two rings.
"Hello! Rudra, your father has sent a goon to threaten you. Beware, don't go near the Godowlia Market."

"Yeah, not until representative leaders like his father rule in the government. We need youth leaders like you, Rudra, not like that old man who just simply smokes and sips tea and claps the desks in the Parliament." The third friend scoffed and spoke rudely.
"You guys can have your Parliamentary debate later on! And I am very stern in my resolve when I say I don't want to venture into politics or follow my dad's footsteps or even replace him. To me, he is perfect in his role." He affirmed his views.
"What happened, you look worried?" His friend enquired.
"Yeah, my mom called me, but before I could hear anything, the call disconnected. Ansh, can you please send her a message if your network is working. Inform her that we are attending the Ganga Aarti, and I shall get late." He requested his friend.
