"What have you done? Why did you ruin everything? Our story was a fairytale dream come true."
She kept thrashing her arms on the door with full force, only for her pleas to fall on deaf ears. Her wedding bangles broke and fell, her wrists bled and h...
When I first began writing this story, I honestly had no idea how I would progress ahead with the storyline.
I was skeptical about how to keep the twists engaging and if I could finish this book on time.
I've never written romantic novels before or tried this niche. But by the blessings of the good and benevolent Divine, I could finally complete this novel.
But it's been the most beautiful experience of writing for me. So intense, passionate and extremely fulfilling.
I was not sure of the views I would get, but I was beyond elated to see viewers enjoy my writing. I am truly grateful for this appreciation and love from your side!
To keep it more interesting, I had to cite up inspiration from here and there, some of which might have been predictable. But I like to imagine my storyline as a Bollywood masala movie and it made me feel excited about penning down further pages.
I'm glad readers enjoyed it and I hope to bring up more content and continue writing in this niche. I am planning on expanding this further and making this a trilogy with related stories of love and intimacy.
I initially began writing this story, taking inspiration from ShivShakti. Because they're divine twin flames and all humans are simply their expansion.
Although I have added references from the Puranic tales, like the Markandeya and Shiva Purana, our country's regal heritage, but I know that my story is highly flawed.
Because it's humane.
And to err is human.
So please forgive my ignorance, wrong doings or mistakes I may have made while writing.
We are not human beings with spiritual experiences but spiritual beings with human experiences. And I truly believe that love is extremely powerful and spiritual.
So powerful that it can change people without forcing them. So powerful that it can move mountains without laying a finger. And so powerful that it can unite two souls without any judgement.
Talking about my characters and protagonists, when I was thinking about the character sketch of Rudra, I could only imagine a strong, masculine guy, who had the intensity of fire and the depth of the waters.
I imagined him as a young man with fiery, hazel brown eyes, sharp facial features, well built, tall and muscular. But what was even more attractive than his physical attributes were his ethics, morals and character. How despite being sought after, he remained loyal to his love and would never back down from fighting against injustice. He was an extremely passionate lover and an even greater fighter. Ever ready to protect his loved ones and even fight for his love.
Years of experience may have turned him cold and ruthless, but only he knew deep inside how much he craved love.
And Kalyani was the exact opposite of him. Gentle, feminine, calm, yet very reserved and private. She came from a place of having difficult trust issues and it took her a long while to lower her defences in front of Rudra. Being the sole breadwinner of her family had turned her into defending herself in a masculine role, where she never got the love and admiration which could make her feel at ease and let out her soft side.
It was only Rudra's love that made her lower her guard. His love poured right in and broke all the walls she had built around her.
She was a simple girl, a character whom most grown up women might relate to. Her eyes were the window to her soul and even when she tried her best to hide her feelings and her face showed no emotions, her eyes always defied her and gave away her innermost feelings.
Her expressive eyes shone like glass, where even Rudra could see his own reflection and the love she held for him all through the years. He looked right through the looking glass and read her like an open book.
Having feelings isn't everything to keep a relationship going. But true love is. Love doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be true. It requires lots of effort and forgiveness and mutual understanding. And all these come from a place of mutual love.
There were times when both were toxic and obsessive about each other, especially Rudra with his possessive nature. But with time, yr understands how problematic he was behaving and learns to back down.
Men are territorial, especially a masculine character like Rudra. His sole intent was to make Kalyani accept his love; not necessarily dominate or control her. But he wanted her to open her eyes and understand that he was just trying to love her and make her feel cherished and adored. As her protector, he only wanted to shield her, sometimes fiercely and sometimes softly, when she needed it.
But whenever she tried to fight her feelings for him and run away, she didn't let things unfold naturally as per Divine Timing, and that's when she encountered and created more problems.
Because some things are meant to be.
Magic doesn't need logic.
And love is magic.
For love is truly divine.
Love is God.
