She was petrified to the core. She fell sick.

Rudra has seriously changed. I don't recognise him anymore. He could hurt me but never try to assault or violate me this way. This is not the Rudra I loved. He's some ruthless demon.

She just had to find a way to run away from all this, to save the last ounce of life she had left inside of her.

She was in her room now, looking out of the window, trying to get some fresh air. She was feeling out of breath.

I have to leave this city.

She opened the closet to find some important documents that she might need. She also picked up her phone and the charging cable.

But he asked me to stay until the investigations are completed.

It suddenly occurred to her that she had to follow legal orders. She sat down on her bed and thought for a while.

She was sweating from her palms. She looked at the door again to ensure that it was locked and Rudra didn't barge in.

I don't care. He doesn't care about me anymore. Why should I bother? It can't get any worse. Even if I'm proved guilty, my punishment won't be more severe than this.

She got up again and started to pack a few important items in her handbag. If she carried a luggage bag, everyone around would get suspicious.

She could easily cite a random excuse without explanation and find a chance to leave the house and run away.

Forever.

She peeped in through the little space the door was opened from.

Rudra was in his office, busy attending some files, accompanied by his peers. This was the perfect chance.

She walked briskly, away from his sight, trying her best to not get caught.

She had booked a cab and instructed the driver to wait a few metres away from the mansion gate, to avoid being noticed.

I am finally free from this trouble.

She sat in the cab and told him the destination.

As far as I can go.

She had planned to cross the border and then switch cabs and go beyond. She hoped to move to a neighbouring country, preferably Nepal.

She lowered the window glass and let the fresh, free breeze blow on her face. She leaned back on her seat and closed her eyes.

She finally got to relax now.

“I actually expected this”, he said with a cool demeanor.

He laid back on his chair, as he heard the news.

Kalyani had fled.

He raised an eyebrow and rubbed his forehead with his index finger. “Any idea where she can go?”

He was busy attending meetings when he got a call from the house staff that Kalyani was missing from her room. He dismissed his work and called in the house staff and his reliable sources to help him figure out where she went.

“Not much time has passed since she left. She can't get too far away.” One of the men assembled in front replied.

He thought for a while and a wicked idea came into his mind.

He grinned as his eyes lit up, at the thought of procuring Kalyani yet once again.

She really thought that she could get away from me so easily. As if it would let her. Not now. Not ever.

“Perfect. Seal the borders and publish a summon order.”
