Chapter 12

Maegan's pov

I woke up to the sound of cameras going off. I look up and see Rebecca, Luke, Calum, and Ashton all standing there with thier phones out. I groaned and buried my head in Michael's chest. He wrapped his arms around me and when he did I heard the guys coo and take more pictures.

"What do you want" I groaned into Michael's chest. "Its time for you to wake up and take your medicine" Rebecca said. "Noooo" I whined "its too early." "Its 1:00 in the afternoon" Luke said looking at the time "Like I said, too early" I whined. "What time did you fall asleep last night" Rebecca asked. God she worried like a mother. Its like her and Luke are my parents or something, they worry like I'm their daughter.

"Like 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning" I said, taking my head out of Michael's chest and sitting up. "What? Why? You're in the hospital. You need your rest" she said with a tone that sounded too much like a parent. "Shhh, you're gonna wake Mikey" I said looking at him while he moved in his sleep. "You go to bed at like 4:00 in the morning. Why can't I at least go to bed at 2:00" I asked, crossing my arms.

"You can go to bed at whatever time you want when you get out of the hospital, but for now you need your rest" she said, putting her hands on her hips. "You sound like my father" I muttered. "I heard that and that's rude" she said.

"Anyway, you need your medicine" she said, handing me my medicine. "I don't want it" I said, acting like a 5 year old. She gave me a look, and to be honest it scared me. I took my medicine and looked at Michael. He was still asleep and he looked so cute. I smiled and the guys noticed.

"Awww. Does Maegy have a crush" Ashton teased. I looked at him and flicked him off. He put his hand on his chest, pretending he was offended. "And no. I don't have a crush on him" I said looking back down at Michael. I must have made a face cause Rebecca freaked out.

"You do! You so do!" She said pointing to me. Michael moved and everyone got still. His eyes fluttered open and he looked up at me. "Morning" he said, rubbing his eyes and sitting up. Then he noticed the guys. "Uhh hi" he said. "Hey" they all said to him.

We all sat and hung out until my phone started to ring.

"Uh hello?"
"Hi Maegan."

It was my dad. I started to panic. I haven't talked to him in over 2 years. What do I do? What do I say? Do I tell him I dropped out of school? Do I tell him that I live alone? Do I tell him I'm in the hospital? All these questions started flooded my mind.

I looked over at the guys with a worried look.

"Uh h-hey dad."
"Why are you so nervous?"
"No reason."
"So, what have you been up to? How's school? How are Rebecca and Luke?"
"Umm, they're good. I haven't really been up to anything."
"What about school? How's that been?"

I looked over at the guys. "What is he asking" Rebecca asked. "He wants to know how school has been" I said, really starting to panic. "Just tell him" Calum said. "Ok".

"Umm, I need to tell you something. It has to do with school."
"Alright, shoot."
"I actually.......dropped out."

I waited for him to start freaking out and screaming. But it was silent. I started to worry.

"Uhh dad?"
"You did what?"

He sounded angry

"I'm sorry. I was doing terrible. The bullying only got worse. I got worse. I just couldn't take it dad. I'm sorry."
"Baby, why didn't you tell me? I could've come over and helped."
"Dad, I live in Australia and you live in Texas. Its not like I can just call you and you be over in 5 minutes."
"I know. I could have taken a plane and stayed awhile."
"Dad, I'm fine. Its ok, you don't need to come down here."
"Ok" he sighed.

"What else has happend?"
"I uh- I moved into my own house."
"So you live alone?"
"Umm, no."
"Who lives with you?"
"A friend."
"And what is this friends name?"
"Michael"
"Oh, so its a boy. You live alone with a boy. That's nice." I could hear the parent like tone in his voice.

"Yes and don't worry we're just friends." I looked over at Michael and he looked a bit sad.
"Is there anything else?"
"Uhh, I may or may not be in the hospital."
"What?! What happened?!"
"I had like a mini heart attack. Apparently I have heart issues."
"You know what. That's it. I'm coming down there. See you in a week."
"What? No. Don't hang-"
